Awesome thread! I didn't even understand it well until I read the whole thing. Everyone's contributions including the poem were great. We in the US don't understand what is going over there well enough, and there is little acsses to anything to learn about it.

So you say the religious names are not really part of the situation, even though I am sure that the fact that there are differances it becomes interwound with the issue. Most catholics here are demrocrats generally. But I am not sure your rebublican party is like ours?

I don't think the US has any desire to be an occupying nation by the way. Even if a politician were to have that idea in mind, he would eventually loose an election because ot that.

Sounds like it would be wisdom over there to stay away from the Catholic gals then for sure.
