What does the reputation points stand for or do?

they mean nothing, although they are suppose to show how reputable ppl are. Someone could have a very high rep, and still know nothing. It could mean they are just popular. Or they could actually mean that person as some knowledge about AAS in general and has given good responses to questions asked.. You never know. As with someone's post count. Just because someone has a post count of say 1000, doesn't necessarily mean they know what they are talking about. I personally take rep points and post counts with a grain of salt.
