People are warned first. Unless blatantly soliciting or sourcing.

Before this thread gets closed for discussing Taiboxa (not my intent) there is obviously a LOT of people getting banned recently. There is no publication of the reasons why these people are banned and that is absolutely within the rights of the mods and admins of this board. All we can assume is that they broke a rule so I want to make sure we all know what the rules are.

Thank you providing others a template to follow. If adjustments need to be made the admin/mod staff will do so quickly.
Again. Thank you.

Generally, the rule:
"Don't be an Ass-Monkey"
....is most frequently broken. This can range from talking shit about AR (anywhere, not just here), to soliciting something via pm, to being an ass-clown in general.

Actually, I think people know when they're being an ass-monkey...
Frankly, I mean...you have the rules...but we as mods aren't 100% bound by them...we have some leeway to interpret them, and look out for the best interests of the board as we see fit. I once banned someone for 24 hours, because of Ass-Clownery...I banned another guy for 2 years for Ass-Monkicity....
Think of the "rules" more like "laws"....subject to interpretation of the person applying the judgement for the board.

We generally discuss it within ourselves, in a forum not open to the public...unilateral decisions are very rare in the case of bannings. In recent cases, the people who have been banned were universally considered ass-clowns by the entire moderating team.
Insofar as appeals, one can always e-mail or PM a mod.

That sounds fair.
What's the concensus on me? Am I an Ass-Clown?

I can't imagine that there's a concensus of any sort on you....
We really only discuss people who are 1/2 a step from being banned...

The staff has no desire to ban people without just cause and I don't want anyone to be fearful of that happening. It is our job to provide help and information to make an enjoyable experience for our members. You do not have to be concerned with accidentally posting something and then suddenly being banned. The rules you have copied are basic guidelines but not the only situations in which a banning may occur. I feel it is safe to say that no one has been banned from here without some just cause and a knowledge of what was happening. If you have concerns or questions about a particular situation please feel free to contact me but understand we will not be posting the reasons behind every disciplinary act we have to take.

If people would just use COMMON SENSE, there wouldn't be many issues at all.
Message board etiquette (no source posting, nudity posts, spamming/recruiting, flaming mods/members, asking for hook-ups/sources, starting trouble on purpose by continually signing up after being suspended/banned, etc.) is an etiquette that is pretty much COMMON SENSE. Those who do not have such sense usually are not indicative of ones that we would want to be a part of our on-line community anyway.

My fellow MODS said it all. None of us make decisions on our own. When something arises the issue is brought to the attention of fellow MODS and it is discussed in private. This is followed by a PM being sent to respective member. Once all information gathered we make a decision based on what is best for the board.
However as stated, sometimes we cannot be bound by the confines of the rules. Sometimes there are blatant violations that require immediate action. We all use our best judgement for the betterment of the board. Our members should do the same.
