any website experience?? swolecat any suggestions
Im looking to build a site for a buddy...Hes a great bodybuilder with an amazing physique, hes in MD this month and I believe could go the distance in our sport he personal trains and is looking pretty much to market himself on the site, id like to have a part in that marketing. anyway..
This is his ex-gf's site
http://www.lisamariebickels.com/
Id like to do something similar to that..
Bio, Gallary, Stats, then have an area where people can contact him for nutritional/diet/training advice..
I saw Godaddy.com has some good deals and it looks like it might be self explanatory...
Anyone have any experience with site building??
Any suggestions..where to start?? ive got a lot of time on my hands so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..
thank you.

The building of the actual site is very easy to do, you just need space.
What makes the site "work", is how you get your service/offerings into the public eye, so as to draw attention to your works. Many use search engines, banner exchanges, etc., I myself use all of those, yes, but I made my way by being on 20-30 message boards over the last 5 years. I built a "rep" by being tangible, doing shows, helping people, etc., and those are things that help me today that a search engine/banner could never do.
So, it's about getting your guy business, and having people want to work with him to attain their goals. Personality and being tangible so people can write YOU, not an auto-responder type thing, etc., are keys to making your business more attractive to those on the outside looking in.
Good luck w/your building, I bet he's happy to have your help!

Hes never been really active on the boards but hopefully I can pick up some slack or introduce him to the potential of these places. Hes been doing shows for sometime and is developing a rep which is very important. Hes an approaciable person and has gotten plenty of results in the people he has trained...i think if i set the site up he will be more than able to take over and respond to people and manage things.
As you know marketing is the only way to survive for the most part in this sport...its the only way to make bills. When I see potential and ability I want that person to take it to the limit...to hit every angle they can. I see alot of potential here for growth and profitability..but at the same time to help some folks. When I thought of this idea i thought of your site which is pretty intense..
Once again thanks bro!!..
you going to North Americans in ohio this september??

Dunno where my travels will lead me this year, that is yet to be decided.
Thanks for the thought of myself and my site when asking for input/advice.
I am sure he will do just fine.
