My Chameleons
Slappy is the browner guy, his relaxed colors are this and when he gets fired up or sees bluey then he turns bright orange/red/green/blue/white... he's fricken nuts lookin....slappy is lookin in his food cup, hes a damn pig.
bluey is not a nice, I dropped him a few times when he was little so now he sorta associates me with gettin hurt I guess. When he gets fired up his eye turrets turn yellow and green striped and gets black bars across his body and goes really turquoise
fukin neat little fellas.

theyre a handful. But if you can get the right things for em theyre quite easy to look after. They need specific temperatures, not far from us, room temp is fine with a heat lamp (low wattage 100W) to be able to heat up if they need to, they need a uvb light, calcium supplements sprinkled on there food once or twice a week, they eat crickets, mealworms, silkworms, waxworms, roaches, basically bugs that need to be gutloaded (fed food themselves which the cham ends up ingesting) and thats about it... ohh and they need a dripper, (basically a tupperware with a pin hole in it to drip on some leaves to drink and a misting daily)
they shoot they're tongue outta their mouth to catch food, its pretty neat

depending on the species they range in price.
when they are babies they are cheapest because some dont color up as nice as others so if you get a really colorful one it can be pretty pricey.
these are panther chams, slappy is a diego suarez and bluey is a Nosey be which are locales names where they are from.
I got them at 2months old and they were both 200 buck canadian each. Then the house I have for em and the lights etc can get up to about a grand for them both
half for one... obviously.
they are not for a novice herpetologist. I have owned quite a few different reptiles in my time. A red tailed boa, a caiman croc, turtles, iguana's, newts, rock python,...hmmm what else
ahhh BILL a mali uromastyx a desert dweller that required NO water whatsoever, the little guy got all of his water requirements from his foods like dandelion greens, collard greens, mustard greens seeds, lentils etc. EXTREMELY TAME.

they do, its bizarre, they do that to camoflage themselves like leaves blowing back and forth in the wind....even if its not windy
actually when they are sitting on a branch in their house I would blow on them sorta like a little breeze and they start to sway like that its weird.
they're really neat little priks

cool, my ex gf got 3 babies from morocco but all died, cause the seller did not inform her about caring. he simply takes them apart from the nature and sell them to the tourists....

Wild caught chams dont usually live as long, let alone in captivity, due to stress and possible parasites... which seem to really work those lil fellas over.
I gotta get a pic of em changin color..
I'll try tonight

Yo Dally those are some NICE chams......I actually had a similar Veiled cham about 6 years ago. They are some cool creatures. My guy passed away after having him for 2 years. Don't know why. I think my girlfreinds cat kept scaring the shit outta him.
