looks like a good PSA is not all you need to be in the clear.. I'm going to try and get the whole article from the AMA journal through my school library, and i will post it later

Prostate test is no biggie... (specially when your doctor is a young decent looking woman! ) once you hit 30 it should become routine. I always crack a joke like "geez won't you buy me a drink first?" which is a pretty stupid thing to do... who wants to have someone giggling with a finger up your ass?
As for prostate health, Saw Palmetto and cranberry extract helps a lot. If things get out of hand, then you'll need finasteride (aka proscar). Dbol and tren are quite rough on ones prostate btw.

I have had problems with my prostate and AS. I'm off AS for a while right now. I've been on Proscar for over a year now...has helped quite a bit. Luckily insurance pays for mine.
The prostate exam is not that bad at all. Feels like you have to pee though. The first time I had mine done...the young doctor said "Guess you're not a virgin anymore." I started laughing! He's been my GP ever since. Super cool guy.

My dad just finished his treatments for prostate cancer.. It has been sooo rough on him! He will have ot have a bladder operation to widen it out by scraping all the scar tissue away. I would not wish this on anyone! PSA levels in blood test are NOT an accurate way of detecting prostate cancer. One of the specialists working with my dad said the best thing to do is from 30-40 have blood test and feel tests done.. and 40 + every year to two years have a biopsy done.. My dad was having a routine prostate enlargement operation and the only reason they found the cancer was because of the biopsy, the PSA and feel tests never showed anything!
