    take it. if it had an ID I'd mail it to the person with the cash (which I've done before although less than 1000) but if there is no ID, then that cash is yours!

    I found a shitload of money...didnt even count it. More than 1000. It had the persons atm card with it. Turned it into to the store security. Never heard another word.

    I lost my walet once and the man that found it called me at work and left a message for me. There was no money in it or credit cards but it had my license and some keep sake pictures. I went to his house with a $100 gift cerfiticate for a local resteraunt. He tried to refuse if but I wouldn't hear of it. It was so nice to have my license back.
    With no id if you turn it in, the likely hood of the cops taking the dough and never telling you is high so it doesn't make sence to turn it in.

    many years ago i found a wad of cash in a rubber band right by the door in trump plaza. there was almost 7 grand in it. no i.d. i actually thought about turning it in for a minute. i didnt. i figured it was in atlantic city. no i.d. not like it was some poor working guys or somethin. me and my brother stayed an extra day and blew most of it.

    I lost my wallet once on south street after a long night of partying and 1 week later I got a package in the mail with no return addy and a note saying "I think this is yours".
    There was $30 in there at the time I lost it (i think) and when I got it back there was $25 so I'm assuming he took $5 out to ship it to me priority.
    Blew my mind...$1000 though? If there was no id in it then I'd keep it.
