    Cows can be pretty nasty

When I was around 12 my friends and I would go into this farmers field and throw firecrackers at the milk cows to spook them...

One time I learned the hard way just how nasty a cow can get when it's spooked.

The thing chased us (they run a LOT faster than I thought!) caught up to us and it head butted me on the shoulder (I was bruised and sore for a week) and nailed my friend too. That cow was PISSED!

Then of course we got all scratched and cut up from scrambling over the old rusty barbes wire fence... which got us nice tetanus shots...

I've been nice to cows since then

By the way thats a bull/ox in that picture up there, not a cow...

Note the lack of udders and presence of nuts...

I was chased by a Brahma cow one time, I was bailing hay and some how I got between the cow and her calf, and she was pissed. She charged me and I had to run and jump onto the hood of a truck to get away from the cow.

I’ve also personally watched a 2,000lb Texas Long Horn bull jump a 4’ fence from a standing position. The bull was trying to get to the heifers in the other pasture, he walked up to the fence sniffed a couple of times, and just jumped over it.

Take my advice, don’t mess with cows….
