Share your cutting secrets.
I am looking for some inspiration to help me get through this endless cutting period.
I am 41 yrs of age with a BF of 22% and a body weight of 260 pounds. I have been cutting for 9 weeks now and its killing me. My calorie intake is between 1200 to 1600 per day. I swim twice a week, play squash once per week and do cardio three times a week at 5 in the morning before work. I also train three times a week some times four.
I am not taking anything at the moment just cutting before my next cycle in January.
It’s killing me. How do you guys get through it and keep focused.
Help! Help! Help!

im with you o&g - it sucks doesnt it! i do my cutting 'periods' for 2 months at a time and i hate them. especially since im such a picky eater theres not much i can choose from to eat so everything is basic and repeated daily almost.
here's what gets me by - CHEAT DAYS!!!
i make it a point to go out and enjoy the day/night usually on fridays - sometime saturdays. its a total reward day i call it and that gets me through each week. most people call it a cheat day - i call it a 'reward day' as it feels so much better rewarding myself for hard work rather then cheating.

Not enough or too much.
I don’t train for competition and I find loosing body fat hard.
Been training now for 5 years.
Before that that I did very little exercise.

You find losing bodyfat hard because you are losing muscle quickly instead!
Your metabolism is probably about as fast as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.
I'm outta here, gym time and then football on TV for me today............

If you want to cut, you gotta have a lower caloric intake than what you use.
Have you tried a water and air diet?Last edited by SnaX; 10-16-2005 at 12:05 PM.

i would start by posting your diet in the diet forum...it will be easier to help if we know exactly what you are eating, etc.
you are probably finding it difficult because you are starving your body of nutrients!! it will still be a challenge, dont get me wrong, but at least you wont drive yourself crazy.
look forward to seeing you in the diet questions forum...

I remember some guy tellin me that he had a certain diet, so his body wouldnt' try and hold the fat it had... dont remember because i was semi fit shaced....
This guy used to way 270 pounds, now he weighs 180.
If i can find the guy, ill ask again, and post, and see what yall think. Maybe it could help this guy.

What gym are you going to, there are alot of clubs in kc that are good 24 hr. fitness, golds and Ballys.
p.s. go to 24hr. it's the best in the area, they are beating ballys (use to manage 2 of those)

cardio is the answer, you may do cardio 6 days a week and eat the proper food, including the right fat !!
dropping calories would not be the solution , and squash, swimming, ..etc would not be the right things for lossing BF !!
cardio ..cardio....endless cardio ...
