Life........................
IT DOESN’T INTEREST ME WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING.
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU ACHE FOR.
IT DOESN’T INTEREST ME HOW OLD YOU ARE.
I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU WILL RISK LOOKING LIKE A FOOL FOR LOVE ,FOR YOUR DREAMS, FOR THE ADVENTURE OF BEING ALIVE
I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN LIVE WITH FAILURE, YOURS AND MINE, AND STILL SHOUT AT THE EDGES OF A LAKE, RIVER, OR MOUNTAIN
YES, I AM A WARRIOR POET.
IT DOESN’T INTEREST ME TO KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE OR HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE.
I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN GET UP AFTER A NIGHT OF GRIEF AND DESPAIR, WEARY, AND BRUISED TO THE BONE, AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR SOMEONE YOU LOVE.
I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU CAN BE ALONE WITH YOURSELF AND TRULY LIKE THE COMPANY YOU KEEP IN THE EMPTY MOMENTS OF YOUR LIFE AND STILL REMEMBER ME, YOUR FRIEND, BLAIS MAN, THE ALS WARRIOR POET.

um no. You're contradicting yourself here buddy. You're saying that you don't care about me, but you want me to remember you. This is a two way street. But I do like your style...

I Googled John Blais, but it probably wasn't his sight. The guy on that page did not look like a bber.

I borrowed this from the Iron Man website....
Jan Tuttle met Blais in San Diego when they studying for their master’s degrees in education. They became friends and last month Tuttle visited Blais in Massachusetts. They were relaxing near Martha’s Vineyard when two men tried to swim against a strong current but couldn’t do it. Blais jumped in swam across the current three times.
“That guy is so strong,” one of the men said.
“You want to know the kicker?” Tuttle told one of the men. “He was diagnosed with ALS.”
Added Tuttle: “He has more insight into people and just humanity than anybody I ever met. He’s taught me to live life to its fullest, never waste a moment. Everything you know in your gut, but you just need to hear. His whole philosophy, it’s not because of his diagnosis. It’s who he is. He is so incredibly passionate.”

Why pay your bills? - Who cares if you get cut off.
See what I mean? Truly living each day as if it were your last means not planning for the future - works in a poem, not in real life.

So when he says he lives each day as if it were his last, HE could do it his way. Which could be the best.
I made up some dorky quote a few years ago that went something like, "I will live each day as if it were my last. And tomorrow I will live the same way"

Live each day like it is your last and some day you will be right.
As a healthy person not knowing when they will die it is very hard to step away from "real" life and live the way you want. bills, family and other obligations keep us tied to our chairs until death.
some people climb mountains and skydive and enjoy this but they still can't say they live life to its fullest because there is still one more mountain to climb or place to jump off of.
The journey from birth to death can be long or short and none of us will know until the time comes. My suggestion is at least enjoy life and do what you want before it is too late to do anything about it. Making money is great but why die trying to be come rich.
Stop hating and start loving.
Stop Working and start living.
Stop lifting and get fat.. oh wait.. forget that last one.
Now what was the question?

My neightbour's got Lou Gehrig's, damn it's depressing. It'll just keeps getting worse and worse untill he is so paralized that he'll drown himself in his own saliva. This is where euthanasia comes into mind.
