Yeah they said its commonly mistaken as 9 times because he was SHOT AT 9 times but hit 3 times and his friend was hit once in his hand. You're right one caught him right in the jaw the other 2 for each leg I believe......no thank you on being shot.

He was shot in a drug deal with his friend Alton James although this has never been proven(the drug deal part). It turns out the rumor is the hit was ordered by a guy named Kenneth McGriff who used to run a gang in the 80's called the "Supreme Team" They were some of the worst drug dealers in NYC at the time. Actually McGriff was in on the whole Murder Inc, The inc, whatever, case. He was drug de****g under the guise of working for the company. The guy who shot 50 was killed 3 weeks later but most people attribute it to his problems with drug gangs in Brooklyn.

To be honest these times in NYC were the worst. I remember growing up I wasnt allowed outside cuz I would hear gun shots almost EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. It was very chaotic and very scary and it always seemed more than a few people were getting murdered daily. In 1993 in my neighborhood there was 36 murders within a 2 mile vicinity of my home where I was growing up and well over a few dozen rapes and HUNDREDS of robberies.

We would not be having this noise in my neighborhood. Funny parts of BK like Bensonhurst that are controlled by the Italians never have these problems. You find an occasional body but nothing like the drug wars.

What does it matter how many times he was shot. I find it hard to believe that nobody seems to be more concerned about the fact that this is person who put himself in that situation and now takes every opportunity to teach our kids that what he did was cool and right or somehow justified...and all the way he's making a sh*t load of money!

Yer you can say he had a hard upbriging but that isn't a justification and it certainly ain't no justification to go around promoting that lifestyle. The hip hop scne has a lot to answer for (IMO) regarding this obsession ppl now have with materialism but most importantly the message that you should do anything (including killing ppl) to get it!
