Synthol abs on M&F Cover?...discuss
I was looking a little closer at the cover of Muscle & Fitness for Jan 2006 and this guys abs look odd. They almost look swollen they are so big. The closer I looked I noticed that the top right segment is lopsided. Anyhoo, has anyone seen this cover and do you think his abs are, um, "enhanced"? :::cough:::synthol:::cough:::

when you work as hard as that dude you will have them.
His workout is:
6am - Cold Pizza, Diet Coke, 6 Oreo's
6:30am - Barkolounger Sit-ups (mostly to reach the corn-nuts in the bowl next to the chair).
7am - 30 rant on if his back did not hurt he would go to the gym, but who really has time for that.
9am - Jelly donuts, diet coke
noon - 2 chili dogs, corn chips, snackwell cookies (he is cutting now so watching his sugar intake), diet coke.. cigarette
2:30pm - bear claw pastry for energy, diet coke, afternoon exercise is bending over to tie shoe.
2:45pm nap time from all the exercise at 2:30pm
4pm - drive home small snack to hold him over until dinner, triple cheese burger, biggie fries and you guessed it, diet coke.. oh and a frosty.
5:30pm - deep dish all-meat pizza, chicken wings, potato salad and light beer.
7pm - Oreo's and milk... and some ice cream.
9pm - bedtime
Now this bro does this 5-6 days per week so you need to make sure you start slow and work up to this level of fitness.

I have seen the cover in question.
Looks very un-natural for sure. I don't know if it's actual synthol as opposed to some really fancy touching up/editing of the photo before it's printed.
All of the cover models are manipulated in some fashion, and are worked with using lighting tools, shaping, etc. You may be also intrigued by something else I learned while in L.A. learning about the filming of television shows/movies.
The film is then "compressed" some weird way, and the images on the tape are narrowed somehow. Everything is (people, background, etc) so it does not appear that only the people have been made thinner. The result is actors/actresses who look thinner than they actually are at the time of filming. They also add lighting effects and such to the final product.
It almost seems all fake.
