$1,800 is a good price. Dirtbikes depreciate FAST in the first 2 years and then they kinda all settle around the $1500-$2000 range no matter how old they are but depending on their condition.
I see that is has Race Tech stickers on it, you know if the suspension was revalved by them?Last edited by MotoXracer; 02-06-2006 at 07:54 AM.

the guy i bought it from i know didnt do any work to it but im 99% sure it was raced at one point. To much money in those numbers and the grips are wired on just like racers do....the bike is really to small for me i just bought it thinkin of makin a couple bucks on it maybe around the 2300$$ range...maybe, not sure yet. Oh and Sea wheelies you better believe it, the guy lived pretty far from me so i met him half way at a mall. We unloaded the bike let it warm up and when i road it no more than 10feet from him i was already riding one ahaha he turned and asked my buddy "is he fvckin crazy" lol that iam

The real telltale sign is the suspension. If its stock, or the suspension still travels freely, its never been raced. If its aftermarket and lost some of its spring, it probably spent time on the track.

I used to race a CR500 at 105lbs. Oh, the days. It was a f***ing rocket. Hell, I was so little I could win opens on my 125.

Um, shouldn't you have thought about that before you bought it?
It really depends on what condition the bike is in. Look on ebay and see how much that same bike is going for. From checking today, they are some going for around $1,600. That's usually what they are worth. Blue book values don't mean squat.
You might be able to get more if you are willing to sit on it for a while.

I think if you knew how to ride, you'd find that 125 has plenty of power, because I can rip shit up with one at 295 lbs. Riding a dirtbike well takes work. It takes a very experienced rider to ride a 250 well.
Ive got a kx500 sitting in my garage. I rode/raced dirt for years growing up, right up to the open 500cc classes. That thing still scares me at least once everytime I get on it.
Wheelies arent a test of what a bike can do. Lets see you do some hard trail racing
