Who I Miss.....(cue the nostalgia)

Nathan, Rambo, MajorPecs, BigTex, MBH (cracker), Pheedno, PartyBoy, P.North, Vette (aka Jessica Simpson stalker) the whole original ARFFL crew and other, similar clowns. Any of them still milling around??

I've been entirely and totally off from the gym of late since I dropped law school to move out to CO to be a ski instructor (well, snowboard instructor actually, but "ski instructor" sounds so much more suave), but I'm moving to Vegas at the end of the season to pursue some interests, one of which relates to my physical fitness goals of last year, so I'll be back in full force by then. I'm sure most of you couldn't be more elated.

I touched base with Rambone from time to time, but haven't heard from him in a while. I'll have to do a search for Nathan's most recent posts. Btw, if I have all of my random recollections about this place straight, did you finish up school and head on to bigger, better, and more financially rewarding things yet?

hell no...i've got just over a year left. i'm counting the days my man...can't wait to get the hell out of Boston...

Did they go private? I was a member there for a spell, and then after moving to CO tried to log on again and the page kept saying that the url no longer existed or was otherwise unreachable. Either that or I'm thinking of Pheed's own board...one of the two stopped "existing" for me once I moved.

I'm glad to have finally pulled myself away from New England for more than any kind of semester abroad type thing, but I do miss it terribly. Though, to be fair, it's easier to miss something/anything when you're living in a place with a male:female ratio of almost 8:1. But that's a trade I'm more than willing to make for some of the best terrain in the country...plus, snowboard instructor is right up there with personal trainer and lifeguard for extra points on the "i want to bang you" scale, so things work out alright.

I hear the weather is INSANE there this year, though. Massive snow dumpings then sixty five degrees the next day...

and i think i'd feel differently about new england if i had been brought up here...it's just not my way of life, and i don't appreciate the attitudes of the majority around me. (of course, you have to remember, the majority of my interactions are with soon to be dentists/doctors who think that they are god's gift, etc...so you can see why i'd tire of the attitude...oh yea, and my school's in the ghetto, lol...)

I gotta agree with the attitude downside to New England (well, at least southern New England...not so bad in Maine, NH and VT). I don't think I ever realized *quite* how bad it was until I spent the summer in SoCal and now the rest of the year out here in Colorado. People are just sooo much less self important and pretentious to say the least. Of course, the other side of that coin is that you have just as many people out here and in SoCal trying just as hard to pretend they're noncomformist, couldn't care less types as you have guys and gals back east trying to convince you that their family lineage and prestige levels are somehow noteworthy. Not sure what trade I'd ultimately take, but I'm liking this side of the coin a little better right now.

I may have to go start a parody thread for old time's sake.
