Well, I'm buying an entire new set, including the tables and pictures. It's not going to be focused around a TV, as I just bought an LCD TV to hang on the wall. I'd basically be designing the room around whatever sofa set i decide on. Walls are white and basically starting from scratch again.

This isnt a permanent place...renting a smaller spartment currently.

NO offense..cuz the sofas don't look bad.......but why do guys always have to go with black or cream....or white???

and just out of curiosity......what other colors do you have in your place.
and you might wanna pm me since i do this thing for a living.......before everyone else on the board starts giving you a hard time!

Dunno, guess it makes thinks simple/clean. At least in my mind it does.

I found some darker brown microfiber/suede sofas with an accent of wood up the front sides that i like as well (no links).

Doesn't leather get sticky after sitting on it awhile? If you're basing this around a LCD TV/home theater you will be sitting a long time. Get something VERY comfortable.

It wont be designed around a TV...as in, the TV wont be the main center of attention. However, I do have a decent setup and this would be the primary place to watch DVD's...so yea, comfort is ideal. The microfiber couches are more comfortable just due to the nature of fabric vs. leather. Ive always found leather to be a tad bit less comfortable.
