    Yeah I've been noticing that more lately.
    Perfect example, I'm waiting/bartending on the side and worked a party last night. There were 38 people at the party - the manager specifically asked me how many showed up b/c they expected 41 and I told him 38. I heard him going over the bill with the customer saying, "so here's your total for 41 people confirmed. Dirty.

    Oh and I agree about what it said about shallowness too.

    Nice post Miz.

    that poem sucks, it doesnt even ryme.

    I can do better than that. taste some of this sweet action:

    I like Mizfit,
    she is cute,
    i wonder what she looks like,
    in her birthday suit

    Im just a horny guy,
    I never wrote a balad,
    But when i look at mizfit,
    i want to toss her salad

    I wish i could see mizfit,
    Each and every weekend,
    And maybe if im lucky,
    stick it in her rearend.

    awww yeah! you see my skills! took me 2 minutes. but see girl, you inspire greatness!

    I can prove infinity doesn't exsist. I can see it when I close my eyes therefore it has a beggining and an end. When I close my eyes it begins and ends when I open them. BTW this was brought forth from the light speed talk.

    I was thinking about this today at work while helping someone close. Just helping doing little things that i didn't real need to, and they didnt need the help really.. but i did it for them
    I like doing things not expecting anything in return.
    Then i thought about how everyone wants something for doing something.
    Always out to gain something. People have to be paid for their kindness sometimes.
    But really it's not a big deal to me, because I enjoy helping others, but im so disgusted by how people are these days. selfish at times. I sometimes could give a rats ass about people as a whole, but when im one on one with someone, I interact kindly i like me.

    if you are moving close to the speed of light relative to the earth you would observe the clocks on earth moving slow.
    But the earth people would observe your clock moving slow.

    So people in each frame of reference would observe slower time in the other frame of reference since its equaly valid to consider the spaceship as stationary and the earth moving. Thats relativity

    This offcourse give rise to the famous twin "paradox".

    Why has the twin in the spaceship aged more when the spaceship returns.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_paradox

    Why on earth did this turn into a relativity thread btw

    the universe is either infinite and euclidian(its called a "flat" universe, but it doesnt mean flat on the general sense of the word) or very very slightely bent and curved back onto itself(the 4 dimensional analog of a sphere).

    So far astronomers have not been able to decide witch it is.

    Anyhow i'm going to post this little essay i have on my wall that i really like

    The Paradox of our Time!

    The paradox of our time in history is that...

    We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers.
    Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints.
    We spend more, but have less.
    We buy more, but enjoy it less.

    We have bigger houses and smaller families.
    More conveniences, but less time.
    We have more degrees, but less sense.
    More knowledge, but less judgment.
    More experts, but more problems.
    More medicine, but less wellness.

    We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly,
    laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly,
    stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little,
    watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

    We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
    We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
    We've learned how to make a living, but not a life;
    We've added years to life, not life to years.

    We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.
    We've conquered outer space, but not inner space;
    We've done larger things, but not better things.

    We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul.
    We've split the atom, but not our prejudice.
    We write more, but learn less;
    We plan more, but accomplish less;
    We've learned to rush, but not to wait;
    We have higher incomes, but lower morals;
    We have more food, but less appeasement;

    We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication.

    We've become long on quantity, but short on quality.

    These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships.

    These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure,but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

    These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes.

    These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.

    It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to make a difference.

    Dr. Bob Moorehead

    I think people has always and will always be like this. But previously we just didnt have the shortcuts that we have today. So we are never thought patience

    Must have been horrible to look things upp before the internet I mean going to a ****ing library just to get some info.

    i've always been interested in physics, space-time continuum, but i just start to get mad for some reason. i think its because when i start reading it or thinking about it, it just brings up more questions in my head, rather then solving the questions i already had. it's never ending!!! I just wish i could live long enough to be there when we finally figure everything out!

    This is incorrect....light takes millions of years to travel between stars let alone the distance of the universe.

    you are both right.

    If you jumped into a spaceship and traveled at like 0.999999999999999999% of the speed of light you would pass through the known universe in a very very short time in your frame of reference. This is because from your frame of reference all the distances in your line of direction will shrink. So what is 4 lightyears to a guy on earth is maby only 10 meters for you.

    if you could travel at the speed of light you would be able to pass the whole extent of the universe in no time at all because the universe would be infinitley compressed.
