Thanks!, I just ripped the fiberglass top off (bolted on and it had been sprayed black rhinoline)and looking for a steel replacement. The rollbar had to go too, it came to me that way and was not functional. It had been placed there as decoration only.So now I am driving around topless. It is fun to drive, and I appreciate vehicles that are not so vanilla.I also have a '68' Volkswagen Bug.

Yeah, I think I am definitely obsessed with the 1/2 cabs. I guess guys in my area are not used to seeing a chick driving a Ford Bronco 1/2 cab (especially with the top ripped off and I drove it almost all winter)as they are constantly complementing me on the truck and giving me thumbs up. My freinds have noticed the attention we get when we are driving it and like using it as a guy magnet. I love to listen to the engine when I am driving it, it amazes me that something so old can sound so good><the engine just hums. Sounds weird, I know. I just have a keen appreciation for vehicles that were manufactured from the early 60's-mid 70's

sweet.....does it have a 302 in it?.......i've always liked the half cabs a bit, but my love of cubic inches kinda over rode that so i got the big ones. I love listening to both mine too, on my 93 i have flowmasters and the 400 in the 79 doesn't have exhaust so it sounds amazing

First of all I don't drive in the mud And you do have a nice ride, but to me the lines of your car look like everybody elses (no offense meant) I just have to drive something that speaks to me I buy what I buy because I enjoy looking at it while I drive (especially thru the side view mirror),and to make a statement~~Kiss my butt (not saying this to you) I guess I am a bit eccentric

It has a 289 V8 4 Barrel, and I just tool around in it. I am not sure about the exhaust, I know it is not on the loud side.

I am not all that familiar with engines ,but that sounds way fast, and if I understand more torque makes it strong? Taking off power? (as in front end power)

Yes, and my mechanic hides from me when he sees me pull in, we had to put in a new widshield and ended up having to replace the windshield frame. People are constantly asking him if it's for sale. And I don't know about your part of the country, but you have to keep something like this locked up inside here or it will be stolen. Same thing with the Bug, I am in a quandry as to which one to put in the garage, I figure I can sorta hide what is under a cover with the Ford, but it is obvious what is under there with the Bug

RuhlFreak55, they are not that expensive if you live in the states?

If you are interested I will help you find one, (Also a lot better for you as it sounds like you do your own mechanic work) I love looking for them, also when you are driving out in rural areas (get someone else to drive, it is a lot easier to look) watch the side of the road and you would be amazed at what you see parked behind these older farms/homes. I was out with a girlfreind (she is a Bounty Hunter/Fugitive Recovery Agent) and in a four hour period of driving around, I spotted 21 antique autos. I actually saw a an old Ford Bronco 1/2 cab shell on the ground (pink of all colors). And also spotted behind an older farmhouse a vintage VW Bug sticking out of a small shed.(door just happened to be up).

haha.......yeah you can find pretty cool stuff in the country, but the broncos prior to 78 are getting pretty rare, and rather expensive regardless of their condition it seems
