    Unhappy My iPod is pooched...

My iPod is totally screwed..has this happened to anyone else? I have the mini, and I haven't damaged it in anyway, the screen is fine.

So fine, one day at the gym last week, it starts like skipping, and then it froze. So I called Apple when I got home, and the nerd at Apple told me to reset it, (hold the middle button and menu @ the same time). Great. It worked.

Then it starts doing it again, only instead of freezing, the volume goes from max to min all by itself, then it flashes low battery then I get a blank screen. So I plug it in, charge it up, fine. It works again. Then when I shut it off, it says "charging". It's not plugged into anything!

So I called Apple back and GET THIS< "you only have one inquiry allowed every 90 days. Because you have called within the past 90 days, I am unable to assist you."

    Seriously.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do? I've tried updating it, I've wiped all my songs, reset it. didn't help

i got my 20 gig mp3 player from brookstone. IT was 250 and might even be down to 220 now. if anything is wrong with it, as long as the sticker is on the player, they exchange it no ****ing questions asked. they are shit serious about that.

Ive had close to the same problems with my ipod... if it keeps up, you may need to plug it into your pc and reformat it... its actually fairly easy, if your still having troubles, lemme know and I can post up instructions on how to do so...

    File a class a suit.
Or better yet, search online for a Class Action Suit against apple pertaining to your situation. And join in on it.

Reset the iPod using the firmware installer. It rewrites the firmware back to factory default settings. It isn't rocket science. Very easy.
