I was talking to some folks in canada they will do it for 290 a eye they said tons of MLB players have had it done at this is more of a reason the surge of homers for home runs then steroids ..I think there are to many teams but whatever!

I came over to the states about 6 years ago on holiday and had it done and I think it was the best money I ever spent. It is not an area where you want to save any money or get a deal- I would be willing to bet those baseball players didn't get their eyes done for 290 an eye. Good luck.

I heard the same horror stories from my eye doctor in the UK, the simple fact is if half the people who wear glasses had laser vision correction the eye doctors of the world would be changing specialities.

Wait...the goal for doctors is 20/10 vision by the year 2010. I know 20/15 is already possible...might as well wait 4 more years and get the 20/10. Theres also a new procedure using an allagreto (sp?) wave laser that doesn't require cutting the eye.

My ex had it done four years ago, she couldn't see anything without her glasses before. She hasn't had to wear glasses since, not even for reading. She spent 5k at that time and doesn't regrets it.

My dad had it done about 5 years ago I'd say it cost him about $1,500 an eye but after 3 years he had to get one of the eyes redone again and I think he said the vision went down in the other eye a little since then.
The reason they told him it happened was that the older you get the less elastic your eye is and less able to keep it's shape so that the younger you are when you do it the longer the results will last. (If I can make that less clear for anyone let me know lol)

my in laws both had it done... they both were over-corrected (basically went from near-sighted to far-sighted)... and both said they wouldn't do it again... make sure you go to the best Dr. that you can find!

well guys...i really would think about it... if you can see without your contacts ok. There is a risk involved...and being that most people think themselves immortal no one ever worries about it. I know i didn't. I went in with 20/40 vision...good enough to drive. But the money grubbing doctor didn't bother to tell me that i'm not a candidate. I have dry eyes and like alot of people i'm not able to control there reactions to be touching them too well. I had contacts and eye drops and all that never bothered me. But when i went under...they sliced that top layer eye and ask you to look at the little target light...i could not keep my eye still...now did the doctor tell me we should stop? Nope...
long story short... i have less than 20/40 vision now....the worst part is...ican't wear glasses anymore. Different parts of my eyes have different prescriptions. And like all lasik...my eyes are just going to get WORSE with age.
