I just got a tattoo done on my shoulder coming down my arm of a cross and it says "rip dad" on it...very nicely shaded and done but what if i dont want this thing in a year? i know thats a stupid thing to say but has anyone ever had any laser removal of tattoos with success? if so what did it cost? and how long did it take?

It would be ALOT cheaper, and probably would look better if you had it covered with another tatoo over top of it.

I looked into getting something removed, but decieded to have it covered instead.

    it's around $100-$200 per 1-3 sqare inch a session
and depending on the quality of the tat it could take anywhere from 1 - 5 sessions. (maybe more)
an amateur tatoo may come off in one session.

this info is from 2 different places in texas. other regions may be different

you get there 45 minutes early then they rub a numbing cream on you.
after that starts working they start zapping you.
the laser breaks up the ink in your skin and your body flushes it away
i think you can do a session a week

I have never had one removed but I heard the cheapest way of not showing it or having it seen is putting a sticker over it.

Hmmm, but a sticker may peel off leaving you exposed, better to break the limb in question and have it plastered thus covering it for at least 6 weeks, by the time you get the cast off you may even find that you like the tat again!

My wife had one removed on her shoulder, no sook cream or pain killers. Took about 8 sessions. They could not get rid of green though, maybe they can now, this was a few years ago.

the one i got when i was 18 after someone close to me killed themself...i was grieving and i thought that a tattoo was a good idea - i was wrong

the second one on my back was impulsive and stupid. It's a tribal that i drew myself, but im in no fuking tribe so i think that one is going to go too.

I have a full half sleeve that goes onto my shoulder anyway the lady who does my tattoos got removal done by someone on her forearm, and she has had one session so far and it looks like light colored smoke ink, i would imagine after a few more sessions it would be completely off and her work is top notch one of the most well known tattoo artists in south florida
