GF with an underactive thyroid, could this be the reason......

She gained so much weight? She may have to be on meds for th erest of her life but, won't she potentially lose weight and in a sense be more healthy? I have been trying to get her to lift with me and exercise more anyway so, I hope this turns out ot be more good news than bad.

On a side note, can birth control effect your thyroid? She started gaining weight very noticeably as soon as she went on the pill.

I think Im just gonna pull out from now on.

Lifting weights.. fi she has a thyroid issue.. won't necessarily help.

Obviously exercise is good for everyone but.. medication will be required to regulate it

I was just tryin to help motivate her to do anything really.

So even WITH meds it might not help?

That BC sucks though, she was like 115, and shes like 150 now. Not obeste but, still not ealthy to gain so much weight, especially if it continues.
