Getting stuff into Canada without taxes or duty
What are the ways that you can get stuff into Canada without paying duty?
I need suggestions.. Nothing illegal, just something a little more pricey if shipped through customs.

Get them shipped as a gift, then no duty. Or have them shipped to a USA address, and drive down. Have them installed at a USA shop, and drive back across the boarder with them installed on the car.

Depends on what you drive down, usually just throw them in the vehicle with you, depends on the size of rims too, or better yet, bribe the **** who looks at your vehicle

Personally I would prefer the option of having them installed in the US and then driving your car back. Keep in mind, you leave having a US border officer, and come back with a completley different Canadian border officer - so there is 0% chance you will get the same guy on re-entry.

a: shipping them as a gift might not work. Usually after a certain price point or size they will check into where it came from etc
b: As you go over the boarder there is a picture taken of your car, and as your come back there is one taken!'
Are you putting rims on your echo? LOL

Unless I am mistaken, if the rims are made in the USA, you'll only have to pay GST on them and no import duty. Or so says "free trade"...
Personally I'd have them shipped near the border and would drive down with crappy rims and have them installed down there and donate the crappy rims to the guy who does the install. Then just drive back happy as a clam.

LOL NotSmall i actually don't like her, but i've seen that trick well employed: where a hot girl is getting complimented by tons of people but the one guy who shrugs her off gets put on her radar - unfortunetly that would be implying that Mizfit was hot, so i'm afraid this isnt the case.

First off, we live in the same country, so there would be no need for shipping 'across the border'
Second, I obviously did get your attention because you responded to my post
Third, you said our soldiers are a joke after one was killed and three sustained life-altering injuries from a roadside IED - that's not annoying people, it's just cruel
but in fairness 'hate' is a strong word, i just 'dislike' you

they don't cross-reference photo's 'in the event you bought rims' - it's really only used to refer to persons of interest and to help battle the drug trade

What does The Cdn Gov't waste money on.. a sign in Seattle to announce we have a military presence.. to me this say something.. My opinion.
And i didn't take much notice to your location because i didn't take much notice to you, nothing about you not getting my attention, all you did was illicite a response.. I never said anything about attention.. I still don't hate you, dislike you.. but man I'm happy i annoy you
Task succeeded.
And your right I'm not hot - never claimed to be but I am THE Cutest little pest there ever was..Last edited by Mizfit; 04-28-2006 at 09:37 AM.

GQ- Also people die every day .. i have respect for all those who lose their lives serving their country - but every country loses good men.
Just because i have no real belief in our particular miliary, doesn't mean i don't congratulate the fact they are heros.
Maybe the reason you feel so sour about my comments, because deep down you know your not doing enough. - Don't take that out on others, do something to change it.

GQ dude I think you may have overcooked the playground hairpulling strategy but who am I to say? - I've seen guys come back into the game from worse than this, let's see how it pans out.........

GQ bouncer - for the record, i didnt think a 22 year old goes around picking fights either. You popped into this thread and decided to announce your dislike of me.. Deal with it and move on.
No one seems to care .. i guess you just like to spew hate - here, at the 7'11, even in your profile - go seek some anger management before one day you go to far.
