you can download from doom9.org
i'm curious how you are using daemon tools ? All it does is mount iso's as a virtual drive...how would that help you decrypt?

I used decrypter to get the file on my HD then use shrink to shrink it, the trick is shrink wont recognize an ISO without it being in a drive, thats where daemon tolls came in hand. Then i am able to shrink it and burn it.

See but the dvd decrypter doesn't have the ability to decrypt all movies. There are other types of encoding it doesn't support. But hey...if you haven't ran into them yet...don't worry about it.
p.s. there is no other way to get it from decrypter to dvd shrink other than with daemon tools unless you wanted to waste a dual layer dvd :PLast edited by zimmy; 04-28-2006 at 01:08 PM.

what is the easiest program to use and the one that records with the highest resolution?
-
04-28-2006, 03:17 PM #19
high res? Dvd shrink is your easier / quickest ... works on about 100% of movies made before 2004... a good 95% through 2005... and maybe 50-60% to movies this year. As far as high res? That all has to do with the size of the movie ... you can't go past 4.5 gig on a movie so you have to reduce it to whatever fits while keeping audio. It's really easy with that. Doom9.org is an ENTIRE web site made just for these processes. It's easier to read there how to's then for any body to retype em to ya here

I liked Dvd X copy express. It was really easy to use but I'm having problems with it in my new laptop.

Started out with Dvd X copy but didnt like the Backup warning on the disks. If you want a foolproof prog use Dvd fab and also get DVD region+CSS free, if you cant copy 100% with those 2 progs theres something wrong with ya.Another one I use is super dvd creater more so for converting avi, mpeg etc.. to dvd.

It's more for decoding. it just lets you mount an .iso file (image file) as a virtual drive on your computer. Saves you time sometimes so that you don't have to do any extra step. If you know how to use the rest of your sofware right, that isn't really necessary since you can get it to out put as vob files elsewhere instead of as an .iso.

I did Dick and Jane using AnyDVD and DVDShrink with no problem. Not sure what's with the commenting on Daemon Tools, it's just an image mounting program.

Not to hijack this thread, but have you guys tried burning any movies to Dual Layer media so you do not have to shrink it?
Seems that DVD decryptor won't write the ISO to Dual DVD.

dvd decrypter doesn't support dual layer burning. Have to use nero or fireburner...... just curious...why bother burning to dual layer instead of compressing... the dvd's are what 6 bucs a pop? rather pay the 4-5 more and just by the sucker if i want the quality up there THAT bad.

DVD decriptor used with AnyDVD running in the system tray will remove all the new "ripproof" movies. VOB blanker is excellent for removing any glitches in teh VOB files.
Worked on everyone I have tried so far.

I use Shrink and Nero..never had a problem. Nero even has a nice little light scribe application with it which works perfect.

I used to have DVD XCopy, but htey went out of business. It was fast and easy. There's one out there right now called 1 click DVD copy and another one called Video Vault both are supposed to be pretty easy and work well.
