I think that the recent baseball incidents have sparked an interest in AAs use. If you compare those commercials to the other typical stupid commercials they are about the same. How about the Cherios commercial with the spelling bee. A small child is supposed to spell aardvark and says "A" then stops and starts again with "A, A, R" and wins. I think with the rules of a spelling bee you cannot start over. Anyway commercials are usually so stupid, you shouldnt even care.
Also, everyone is usually disctiminated against by someone. And most men who do not lift weights or stay in shape have probably had at least one bad experience with someone who was stronger looking than they were. Therefore muscle dudes are a great thing to poke fun at. Dont worry, just because every fat dude is sitting on his couch laughing at that commercial. They are really displacing their feelings towards that one bad experience when they realised some chic liked the better looking guy.
