On that list its Em by far for best lyricist, but that list is lacking by far when even trying to compare best rappers.

Yes, im sure most people based on opinions and bias can name a crap load of better rappers *alive
But, lets get real... even take all the great underground rappers who claim to love being underground hype.... tell me they dont wanna get paid.... especially the type of paychecks rappers are gettin these days.... and why arent they??? u can be the so called greatest lyricist alive according every little wanksta who only listens to underground sh!t BECAUSE its underground.... yet these are the same fans who will illegally dl their stuff instead of buyin it so they can come up...
Ya, the mainstream sh!t radios release of Eminem is garbage.... but people fail to find the real sh!t of why he is the best lyricist... even within the past year, he has released sh!t that is crazy... yet everyone still listens to and bases their opinion on whatever KISS FM plays...
Im not sayin he is the best lyricist alive... but he is WAY better than anyone out makin money( you will always find someone better so im not claiming his sh!t is the greatest)....
What was a great eye opener for me, as well, is when my guy brought over an underground DVD rap battle comp for 97-99..... Eminem, Rhymefest were one there (and in the finals) but there was a HANDFUL of other supposed big names back then who are big now, who didnt even qualify for the comp or didnt make the finals....
As I recall, the white rapper, IDEA, won 2 if not all of three battles *nationwide well know battles (im not sure as I may be confused with the other dvd battles) but he atleast won 2 of em.... and Rhymefest or Atmosphere won the other years comp.... Rhymefest was SO well known for spittin some of the hottest lyrics for years... but its not till Kanye introduced him till he became a factorLast edited by OSTIE; 07-25-2006 at 11:54 PM.

I'm going to have to say these days 50 Cent no doubt. Although I am not big into rap music, I used to love Eminem when he carried the "Dont give a **** attitude" about anyones opinion, but nowdays I just dont like his newer stuff.

How about Jamie Kennedy? Just watch that Rollin with Bob Sagot music video, or watch "Malibu's Most Wanted" and you will realise that he is king o rap.

Greatest currently has to be Hova, I'm a huge DMX fan but his great depression album was horrible. Greatest of all time has to be Rakim!!!
