Was my email bombed?? someone help plzz!!!

Its been like this for 2 days, and i dont know anyone who this happened to before so if anyone knows id appreciate it. But i get email everyday in my inbox and bulk folder. I logged in 2 days ago and it said i had 65526 messages which is impossible, than i when i click in theres nothing there, its all blank. I figured id wait to see if it went away but it seems like my email account is just froze, shit doesnt work anymore.

Now i dont know what the hell to do, has anyone had this happen before?? How do you fix it?? My email is connected to a lot of online accounts like ebay, paypal, wachovia, geico, etc. So im starting to freak out a little bit. Anyone have any clue what might have happened or how to fix it??

I'd try posting this in the computer security forum. There are a lot of very computer savvy guys posting there...may be able to help you

provide more info... Is this with yahoo? hotmail? Outlook? outlook express?

its a yahoo account. and i would have posted in the computer forum but i thought there was more a chance id find someones whos been through this in the lounge, i think people post in the computer forum like once a month..

I'd consider making a list of everything that you use the account for...... Then transition to a new account..

thats fine bro, no big deal.
i just know people can do some crazy shit so when i see my email all hacked up i get paranoid. but im gonna start by contacting yahoo and ill see what they say. ive froze my bank account so money cant come in or go out till i send further notice. i remember reading about email bombs back in highschool, and most of the time if i remember correctly its more malicious than someone actually trying to steal your money, so i guess ill just have to wait and see what happens.
