Bill Gates is running for president.

bill gates is runninig for president, and bill clinton is backinig him. I think ol bill has just run out of things to do, he is the richest man in the world, and now he wants to put president of the united states under his belt. Im not going to vote for him, I am goinig to vote against him.

Bill Gates for president, it sounds like a famous person wanting to get more famous. It would be like Oprah running for president she already runs the world why do this.

Depending on what his views are on a few issues I'd vote for him. The gov for most part is like a business. If he can run Microsoft that well then I'm confident he would do well as president.

Also why does everyone assume that if a president doesn't act like a tuff ass he would just let us get attacked and do nothing.

He has money counting hands, never had military experience, doesnt know the reality of war, maybe if he's playing warcraft but thats about it I guess.

Id vote for anyone who is a strong aggressive but honest and fair leader.

A pussy or a military psycho are just as bad IMO.

But thats why they have a defense secretary to give advice. You think Bush's being in the reserves was actual experience.

I'm thinking a business minded person like gates. Might be able to do something with the budget and spending.

our past 2 presidents didnt have military experience. what does military experience have to do with running a business, which is essentially what our economy is? personally i think its a great idea, its about time we had someone smart in the whitehouse. it would also be hard to call him bias on any issue because the richest man in the world doesnt need any special interest groups. as long as M1 abrams tanks dont get the microsoft blue screen and errors i dont see what the big deal is. could he be as bad as bush? not a chance.

whom do you trust more with your economic policy a guy who built the worlds biggest software/technology company who also happens to be one of the worlds biggest philanthropists or someone who ran an oil company into the ground and couldnt build a winning baseball team.

For sure! Bill Gates is one of the best businessmen in the world. He is incredibly smart and, in my opinion, would be a much better president than Bush. As long as he is backed by a solid staff and depending on his stance with the various issues, good things could happen for the US if he became president.

Well, at least we could say goodbye to our nation's deficit.

running the government SHOULDN'T be like running a business in many ways, though. The government should not be in place just to make money... if it were then we would be paying taxes up the ass every year - oh wait we already do!

Gates may not be too bad a President, Hell he gives a shit about people more than Bush does and this is just a pure guess but he doesn't seem the religious kind which is also good. Could be a bit of a wimp though. And THEN if we get a tough Prime Minister it'll be back to the days when Regan was Maggie Thatchers bitch! Blair should be ashamed of himself for being Bushes bitch.

More than likely. As far as needing military experience, and like others said, they have advisors(in all areas). BTW, is he still the richest in the world?
