    What are the reasons for locking a thread?

    I asked Swolecat(a former mod) before and he said:
    "no one is going to explain moderating procedures, just bypass the closed threads and move along"

    Wrong

    So can Carlos or Nark or another hall of famer explain for all the members? And perhaps this can be a future sticky.

    If it serves no purpose other than causing drama, or if it starts breaking board rules. Not that complicated.

    i would say that about 90%-95% of that threads that get locked are locked with an understandable purpose. i have respect for alomst all of the people in blue, green, and red, not trying to get on anyones d*ck either but thats just my opinion on things
