Off the Topic, but you who are male, and are somewhat a geek
Off the Topic, but you who are male, and are somewhat a geek yet happen to be bigger than your average office mate...
Do you ever?, or have you ever? watched an X-Men video or read a comic and thought that Beast is the embodyment of you...?
How many times has someone thought or said wow ur a lot smarter than I thought,,,, or "eh wow I didn't picture that coming from you"
Makes you feel like all big lugs are stupid,,, ouch!!! I hate to hear that kinda non-sense... Us "Not" that "Big",,,but bigger than the average Joe feel like there might be a bit of prejudice...
huh! nah? back to tha off topic........
Seriously,,, I think of Superman when I think of myself and can see why Priest put the Superman symbol on his body........... but forget about the superhero I love most.... When you look at Beast,,, for a geek with muscles you cant honesty say or think that they are not making fun at the contradiction or Celebrating the smart Big men out there.......so take a bow
A Description of Beast.......... Now, How many of you are actually Beast and not Superman,,, eh... in that superhero kinda mentality, ok... fuking use your 13 yr old mind with your 220 plus sun blocking space, "area"........
Despite his savage appearance, he is a man of arts and letters and the sciences; He is a world authority on biochemistry and genetics, the X-Men’s medical doctor, and the Xavier Institute's science and mathematics instructor. He is also a mutant political activist. Fighting his feral urges and fear of rejection, Beast has dedicated his physical gifts and brilliant mind to the creation of a better world for man and mutant.
I'm drunk, this is one of my drunkin thoughts , all though it may be in bad grammer I still think I needed to post this....
In simple terms.... I am surrounded by smart little people,,, where are all the smat big people???
I swear there needs to be some kinda convention? Well, But then they would just think we were all gay. "Then it would just make it a Gay Convention"
Tha Soap box is out!
Sleepy time now........... go, bed, sleep...... now

I helped a pretty girl move today, and I remember her saying a while back, some day before, her first impression of me was a lug, soft on tha out side dense on tha inside... Then I thought, hmm,,, some girls find comfort in that...
"I was scared wondering if I should try and defend myself but then I quickly remembered and thought...I'm not after her I already have a girl friend" then proceeded to act like a big lug

i never get taken seriously.. so understand completely . I talk cute, i kinda have a skip in my walk .. and i dunno....
I work in national sponsrships and advertising and when big wigs come in from the NHL or CFL or anything else we sponsor, they take a look at me and in some cases even ask for others to come to the meeting.. Which pisses me off.
I'm the gate to get into the door, but they wanna use me as a door mat.. GRRRRRRRRR.

Lets see... At work I've been called Carlos the beast, muscle geek ... juice bag (didn't like that one)
When I meet people the first question they ask me is what gym to I work at or they ask if I'm a trainer. When I tell them I'm an engineer they look surprised. I used to work for the NFL and coworkers would say I should be out on a field not working in an corporate office.Muscle Asylum Project Athlete

Geek = Jacked
It's no surprise that a muscle man can also be a big geek.
When my Rugby team, mostly all big beefy bruisers, are out with another team after a match it's no longer surprising that we're throwing back the Guinness and talking about: comic books, code writing, Lord Of The Rings, science fiction, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, quantum theory... and steroids !
I think all us geeks in highschool just went on to get great-paying jobs and then discovered the gym and anabolic steroids at about the same time. Go to your highschool reunion and there are always two or three totally jacked muscle dudes, and they'll always be the guys who were in the "Model United Nations" and the chess club NOT, as you'd probably think, the guys who played football.

Once, while riding the subway, I saw a gal looking at my rather baroque physique in a side-long glance kind'a way. I had my "construction worker drag" (work boots, flannel shirt, jeans, scally cap) as I was coming back from a site meeting (I'm an Ivy League architect). I had the Boston Herald and I thought; let me give this secretary a treat. I started reading the paper and moving my lips. I had that "gorrilla trying to do simple math sums" look, with a furrowed brow and deep concentration as I worked out the contents of the sports page. I think she actually leaked through her skirt!
Why, oh why, do good girls like bad/dumb boys!

You ruck, scrum, and maul; you have boat-races in the bar with Guinness; you own the complete trilogy of Lord Of The Rings; and your girlfriend/boyfriend gave you a sword for Christmas: You're a Rugby Geek! It's a great social leveler.

Cheers bro, I have a great fondness for watching rugby but have never played. The thing that actually stopped me this year is the times we would play, Saturday @ starting at times from 12-3... Me being a football fanatic, usually college, and the rugby game times being on Saturday I would miss all games accept the night one..., (pretty sad but true) I wont mention my Fantasy Football addiction, whoops
