Credit card question
Whats up, I was wondering, if you ordered something with a credit card online and you feel as if the company is scamming you-- is there anything your credit card company can do for you?

Even if its already charged to your card? Long story short i payed for an advertisement company to help me sell a car, and when i call the company they really seem like they don't help much. They listed the car about 11 days after i payed (when it was supposed to take 3), so all in all im pissed and really don't want to deal with them anymore-- but it was a pretty expensive listing

hmm you might want to ring your credit company and see if they can do something about it.
but you will have to explain the situation.
i believe you cant do anything, cause they did list and it paid for it.
but you can try ringning them and see what happens

I was wondering if I should ask them for a refund, which i dont think they will want to do, or call the credit card company. Im really mad about this though, I did it using my father's business card (auto shop and car dealer), and I just wanted to try out this service and see what happened. Thing that really got me nervous was that i did some research into google, and they have a horrible rating with the Better business bureau, and i've seen some messages on random forums saying these types of places are scams, they pretty much take your money, list you, and you dont really hear from them again.

call the advertising company first. If you dispute it with the credit card they will ask if you have tried to work it out with them first. Maybe you can get a partial refund. Keep dates and names of who you talk to. If it doesn't work out then dispute with your card. Like someone else said they did list your car so doesn't sound like much you can do.

you will actually get you money back right away (depending on the bank)then it will go into a dispute process, with their merchant process.

i bought rims once for my car, and dropped 3000$ on them..
the next day the shop went out of business..
after a couple of weeks of no replies from the owner and shop being closed..
i called the credit card, and disputed the charge..
they said they'll get in contact with the company or whatnot
i dont know if they ever did or did not..
but i got the charge taken out, so it worked in my case.
