    Perfect example - Overtraining

Well as many know i just broke up with the women and i was feeling kind of down and using the gym as my escape. I am on a cycle and decide maybe a little extra gym time will help me cope. I was in the gym 7 days a week, for 2hrs at a time, beating the $hit out of myself with WAY too many sets but didn't care because it took my mind off things. Well i noticed the weight of my lifts going down but my exhaustion going up ! In the end of just two weeks i got sick. I took 3 days off the gym and slept ALOT (had off work) . Well i went back feeling really good and was able to add another 12lbs to my press (weight i did before overtrain +12), 10lbs to my upright row all while lowering the sets. My shoulders were crying by the end of my 1 hr workout. I could hardly throw my bag over my shoulder when i left.

    Less is more !

There is nothing worse than your muscles being overworked n' going back to double the work. Time n' rest is the greatest thing for the body. With a good diet.
