Who Knows Much About Frank Zane?

I have about the same body type and structure as he did (except 1 inch taller) and am wondering what kind of diet plan he followed and what he took if anyone knows. I don't want to start roids until I'm at least 21-23 and around 180-190 lbs solid musce 6-8 percent bf%, but would like some helpful pointers in what to eat to attain that state

    Who cares?

This is fine for the lounge. It's a discussion about a bodybuilder.

Well let's look at him, He naturally has broad shoulders, big back, tiny waist, long arms, long legs... As do I... Not to mention he is an Ectomorph... As am I... Arnold had some pretty good advice back in his day, always strive to look like people with your body type, or along those lines. And that is what I am trying to do...

It must have not been THAT good.

I have read breifly a while ago about his diet theories but didnt pay much attention cause I didnt think it would be good for me, who knows though. I believe it was on his website or something though and may have been more of an advertisement?

I think he may be "one of those guys" who doesnt have to try too hard to be lean.

One of my favorite physiques though if only I could look like that.

One thing I do know about Zane is during contest prep he had to eat more and get bigger rather than shred up by restricting calories like almost everybody else does, because of his body type and fast metabolism

His father was a television repairman. He first moved to Florida to pursue the bodybuilding lifestyle. During his Mr. Olympia winning years 1977-1979 he lived in Palm Springs, CA. He now lives in suburban San Diego. In 1980 while suntanning at his Palm Springs home he fell and sustained a serious abrasion to his penis. He and wife Christine have no children. He has trained in his home gym for many years. He no longer shaves his chest.

Honestly I cant even remember. I think it was more or less useless and outdated. Wierd workout advice and so on. Nothing I would recomend, unless perhaps as a look into how the dudes back then did things.
