    Laptop battery time

I have a Dell XPS M140, and my battery time was estimated at around 5 hours. I read a review of someone saying the get around 4:15 while browing the internet with wireless and doing office work. Right now I am doing school work, with my wireless card at work, and my battery time estimated me at about 2:30 the minute i turned it on at like 98 percent... WTF? My screen is one level above dimness..how can i get more timee??

Wireless does use alot of energy from my experience. If you don't need to connect, turn off your wireless.

It cuts down the battery time about 40% on my work laptop.

ive heard that the dell batteries are starting to explode, depending on what model. i dont even think your allowed to take them on planes anymore.
take it to a shop and get it checked out.

Um, well hopefully you're system will adjust itself...Mine sucked the first two times I used it without a power cord, and now it's fine. It adjusted all the settings for me, and close down applications that are running in the background that I don't use. That's probably your biggest issue. That, or you're watching porn. that takes up serious battery.

I also was listening to itunes if that matters much??
