We almost had a couple accidents at the gym today!!!
I'm about to call them up and address these safety issues. First off, we start w/ some heavy leg presses. Now, hammer strength makes some pretty good equipment, but one of their new 45 degree leg press models ****ing sucks a dirty donkeys dick. For one, the hook that holds the weight in the locked position before you start the movement, I swear to God I think the thing was designed for Shaq because I have to do a ****ing calve raise to get the weight off the hook and start the motion. Second off, the handle that releases the weight is so ****ed up it's like a monkey ****ing a football top get it to unlock, you have to pull it out, then down, then backwards, so as your sitting there holding your 1400 lbs after your 1400 lb calve raise your ****ing with this damn handle to get it started!!! So next, my buddy is doing his set and every time he comes up with the weight the machine starts rocking forward like it's going to tip over because those silly bastards at my gym never bolted it into the floor. Ok, next we move to a Hammer strength smith machine. We were doing some hack squats on the smith machine, we offset our feet forward during this motion, its killer. He does his set, I do mine, then he goes again, then me. Then it's my turn again and we have about 600 on the bar, I go down.....I come up.....and the God damn thing starts rocking backwards as if it's going to tip over!!!! Luckily my buddy was behind me and caught the thing before it went through their glass window right behind it and out onto the ****ing highway!!!! So I then had to lower the weight on that smith machine back down to 4 plates/side, which was so ****ing easy I execute 25 reps, but I was pissed because I wanted to use the original weight!!! Their safety issues prevented the beast from going heavier, those mother****ers!!! I'm ****ing calling them right now

im 170cm, all you have to do on the leg press is when you finish that first set bring it down and lock it on the a lower rack .
smith machine issue could have been very dangerous tho.
i had the smith machine bar break and collapse on me which stuffed my neck up for months.

i used a smith machine once in houston i think it was that almost tipped over on me....prolly the scariest thing ever

Yeah, most you can do that, the new Hammer Strength one ****ing sucks, it hooks from the bottom and not on the sides where most have the optional settings. A big waste of space if you ask me

Scariest moment ever for me was doing the leg sled. I was doing a decent set 800lbs when the adjustable seat pin fell out !!! The seat flew back towards the lowest setting, not the floor. Thank god some how i kept my legs tense while being shifted as to hold the weight. I had a guy run over and help me out. I didnt do the leg sled for about a month after that

That sucks. I have a danger story as well!
I hit up the gym finally again. And while doing some sit-ups with an exercise ball, and I'm always quiet when working out, some skinhead was like "you guys make to much ****ing noise mang". I just ignore him, and my friend asks me what he said, i just shrugged and told my friend to go ahead and do his reps, then the guy says it again to my friend this time, and my friend is like "oh. Sorry". then the guy was saying shit to him while he was doing sit-ups, and my friend is like "Why are you getting so bent out of shape over some noise, it's a gym" and then the guy stars to get all pissed, and says something like "You make too much noise, you f*cking faggot".... so my friend replies "You're the one who is a cigarette". Then the guy is like
"I aint no cigarette, you want to step outside mang" My friend says "I workout inside the gym, guy"
Then owner, who i've always been cool with, is walking over cause he sees the guy is throwing his hands up while raising his voice... and I did my set already, and now it's my friends turn again, and the guy says again, "You talk too much sh*t, f*cking faggot" my friend replies "SHUT THE F*CK UP AND LIFT YOUR WEIGHTS!"
Then the guys is "LETS THROW DOWN OUTSIDE THEN FAGGOT"
They guy was just being a prick with an attitude problem, probably because he had a bunch of ugly tattoos.
But in anycase, I did my part to ignore him, my friend was being a bit of a smartass to him.. but the guy was just looking to start some crap.
I apologized to the owner before i left later, and the guy supposedly apologized and said he didn't mean to start anything.
anyways, thats my story at the gym with the skinhead or white supremacist... whatever he is. Still a semi-douche, but he and I never exchanged mean words really.
