when u spar u have to go against someone WAY better or way worse.. otherwise u get that COMPETITION thing going and it always gets outta hand! ><
u use headgear? i f'n hate that shit.. punches that would normally MISS YOU snag that shitty headgear and give ya pimpin whiplash!

He has longer arms?
*Get inside his reach and go to work.
If he tries to push you away with his hands, he may look down at you or to the side when doing this.
*Uppercut him.

yea, you gotta get inside. You wanna control the fight. Staying back leaves him in control. Like tia mentioned, and depending on how long the fight work the kidneys. If not, jaw him for the KO.

i work better from stayin out more...when i throw my left jab i give a lil lunge and twist my right shoulder back a lil more, hard to explain... this creates more angle so he cant get a straight jab on me and i can gain a few more inches on my reach..also the slight lunge make me a lil quicker then if i was just using my arm..
also get those combo's in...dont just keep throwin one punch here and there..my prob in the beginnin is that i throw one sometimes two punches and then go straight to defense...meanwhile the guy i was boxin would just cover up, him doin this would let me just unload combos and really be able to pick the most vunerable spot...
also really learn each persons style...when i spar after the second round i can really tell how this person will react to every move i make...and i can telegraph what he's goin to do because he repeats his tell tale things...some people have little habits before they throw that power punch...i like to learn that, roll under and come with a nice left hook..these are a few things that i've picked up...to lazy to write more..off to bed soon..

Learn good foot work and work on it alot, it doesnt take a man to stand and brawl. Use the jab(a good jab not lazy), shadow box and envision who you are boxing is he tall and lanky or short and stalky, quick and elusive or always moving forward. Also don't get into the habit of backing up learn lateral movement.
