    I saw Balboa yesterday.

As we’d all hoped, it was very well done!
It possessed all the fervor and passion of 1 & 2, but unfortunately even more incredibly manic fight choreography than 3 & 4. Let's continue to pretend 5 never happened.

I wouldn't recommend it to the infrequent moviegoer (so don't make your lady sit through it unless she owes you), but for Rocky fans it's both humorous and human. A famous conclusion to the storied journey that all began with 'Best Picture' 1976.

    As a fan I give it…

He'll knock ya to tomorrrrrrrrow Rock.
Clubber ain't gonna kiss ya, he gonna kill ya.

I am a HUGE rocky fan, I have every single part memorized word for word....anyway the movie was a huge let down. I mean I still kinda enjoyed it just because its Rocky but def not what I was hoping for. I could tell why it sucked but then I would ruin it.....

Glad that it was good. They've been working on the script for years.

I would love to watch it. I did enjoy the Rocky movies. Never seen Rocky 5. I guess that was good thing that I never saw it.

Okay...just got back from seeing it and I think that it totally sucked. It's not even worthy of renting. 4/5 of the movie is painfully slow. Mike Tyson has a cameo appearance though...that was kind of interesting.

heres the thing...I was the one who convinced my friends "you atleast have to see it" and "you have to go no matter what"...So i wanted to like it, i really did, but nothing about it made me even capable of making an argument for it, i was really disappointed...

I saw it the other day too and i loved it. It was a very fast paced movie and i will definitely buy it when it comes out on dvd.

It was funny, when i went to see it and the fight was going on all the people the theater were chanting and yelling out "ROCKY-ROCKY-ROCKY." I gotta kick out of that.

Fast paced? The majority of the movie is this depressing diatribe about how he's this old worn-out guy who's still depressed over Adrian. The last 20 minutes of the fight is the only fast paced action there is.

It's not what you'd expect, but a true fan should still enjoy it. Just hearing Rock say "Yo Paulie" again is worth it.

dude....a true fan goes and sees it opening night....I did...

A true fan also doesn't pretend to enjoy a bad movie or say "I liked it" purely because of previous ones....

I saw it opening movie, meaning the first showing on opening day!

I think people are expecting more than they should, even though they received more than they deserved.

By that I mean, conclusive installments in anything with more than one sequel (i.e. trilogies or longer) have to necessarily provide closure. Such necessity is often misperceived as creative negligence.

Exactly, and that's a lot of what finales do. Closure requires a lot of resolution, the tying of lose ends.
