I do not like the LG Chocolate either. It felt like cheap plastic. I like the Motorola KRZR better than the V3 RAZR.

Italian luxury goods designer Prada has tied up with South Korea's LG Electronics in hopes of developing the ultimate mobile phone fashion accessory, officials said Tuesday.

LG said in a statement that distribution of the phone would start in early 2007 in Europe, followed by Asia. It will be available in South Korea in the second quarter of next year.

The company said that it would develop a unique, sophisticated, and elegant phone, with an advanced-touch interface that eliminates the conventional keypad.

"As we do with ready-to-wear and accessories, we were looking at a breakthrough. Consistent with our approach, we are not branding an existing product," Prada president Patrizio Bertelli was quoted as saying.

Prada is working with LG to give the new phone "a very strong character and unique style" in its content and design, he said.

"We are passionate about developing exclusive phones that appeal to consumers' desire to express their personality through their choice of mobile and feel very strongly that Prada shares this belief," said LG Electronics president Park Mun-Hwa.

I am not too keen on the chocolate phones. A girlfriend of mine has one and it is kind cheap compared to other phones. The RAZR is ok. The ones they distribute here in America are built cheap and shitty. The unlocked ones they build in Europe, Asia, and AUS are built much better, with less problems.
