In this case she means fliling your annual income tax return. See when people work, there is a levy or amount that is deducted from your pay, or at least should be, from your income depending in which tax bracket(how much you get paid) you may be taxed more or less. The federal and in some cases provincial governement collect these taxes, amongst many other types of taxes, duties, fines and so on to subsidize or to pay for their operations and to run the governement and hence the state. If the governement would not collect these taxes and siphon some to their friends better termed cronyism, it would not be possible to run a state appropriatly. At the end of the year you must file a tax return schedule to reconcile the amount of taxes you HAVE paid with the amount you SHOULD HAVE paid and what you want to be declared tax deductible, were you cry foul and ask the goverment that you were unfairly taxed to much. Therefore, some benefit from an overpayment and are reimbursed while others who try to screw the governement have not paid enough and still owe the theives even more get screwed back with a bill. Sometimes the governement can be left flabbergasted and decides to analyze your tax return to see if your reconciliation was done correctly and if it was not.................you are sent to the gallows(actually that was circa 1800s) now they let you rot in jail a little or fine your ass if they are in a good mood.
The End.........

Get a smart accountant to do your taxes. H&R block ripped me one year. i made the exact same amount 2 years in a row. With H&R i got back a minimal amt. went to an accountant and got back almost 8 times what i did with H&R.

I just download software every year and do it myself. For $15 bucks I have the most up to date questionnare...I would never pay h&r block prices...

I believe I'll save more money and they will help me out more. My only problem is I just need to find a good accountant in my area.

But you can’t get blood from a stone. As far as they know i am broke and loss money (holes in my pockets). I live in a cardboard box and right of my shoes due to them being my only form of transportation. There are a lot of ways around not having to pay or paying very minimum.
