I hate doing abs. I invent excuses not to do them, like eating a lot of Louisiana hot sauce so I get diarrhea...

i fvckin hate doing abs too, but once you build them up it really doesnt take much to maintain them because that is one muscle that you dont want to keep getting bigger. i just need to work on my endurance, i really just hate doing any high rep exercises.

I find if you use a 15kg weight behind the neck / on the head for crunches then you do not have to do 100's of mind numbing reps.

Also intersperse the abs with other exercises ..... like calf raises etc.

Yea, I always hold a dumbell behind my neck, which kicks the sh*t out of my abs. I just hate bending over and rolling around on the ground for the abs. I prefer to stand or sit in a chair of some sort. No yoga for me

This is very bad for the cervical vertebrae, even when you’re paying close attention to it. Go with a plate on your chest instead.

And be sure to hit lower/medial abs...any excercise that brings the legs to the torso.

Generally speaking, the better a body part becomes the more its workout is enjoyed, especially for those that are on or can be readily displayed.

Doing ABs blows and after an intence workout who has the energy to do them. I try to sneek a couple sets of hanging leg raises inbetween my weight trainging sets. I agree with z12, I hate rolling around on the floor. The one good thing is in my gym the ab area is not a bad place to watch chicks roll around on the floor...lol

I never hit my abs. Squatting/deadlifting/rowing without a belt hits them enough for me.

abb training is for girls. I am sure they contract isometrically just fine and good when doing deads and squats and other core exercises.

    lol j/k about the girls

but they really do bore the crap out of me, i dont do em, i think they get hit just fine while doing core exercises

If you hate doing abs in the gym, then just go swimming! Kicking your legs and focusing on your abs while swimming will get them RIZZIPED!!!

I hate doing ab work outs. I always try to avoid them. Unfortunately with my new training I am supposed to do "core" workouts, which is primarily situps.
