Whats the best way for me to break down a set into individual songs so i can burn to a CD? (and be able to navigate through easily)

Place track markers on the set using Nero or whatever proggie you use to rip CDs.

^ Itunes usually. But thats cause thats where i save my playlists. If i needed to use another prog to just seperate a set I guess i can do that. What about roxio? I used to use that to. Never used track markers?

I am the dj of all the mixes on that site.

For those asking how to get it split into tracks.

I dont know which burning programs youre using, but I use Nero. If you look on all the pages you will see what is a CUE link.

You will want to right click save target as, then at the bottom change file type to "All Files" then save the .cue to the same directory as the mp3.

If you have nero or a burner which will read .cue files you can open the .cue file with it and it should burn it to a tracked cd. Otherwise you can open up the .cue file and look at the track times, and set markers at those times as someone else suggested.

I have begun to get into prog. and electro house, but I havent found enough material which catches my attention to make any mixes with them.

just means my master out when recording was too high for my recording device. wasnt able to borrow my friends digital mixer for this one so it was analog, i didnt really notice a problem though.

unless youre referring to the song itself, i cant be sure. can you give me a time bo?

ah my bad, i had Fruity Loops open and didnt realize underuns could happen (wasnt clipping) with external audio.
when i closed FL is went away. i just finally heard the whole mix today, seems like most of the music is more mellow than your last few mixes but def some good sounds going on.

Hey dude, at the 25:00 mark, this song comes on, Above & Beyond - Good For Me (Thomas Datt Remix), and I love that kind of techno/trance where it's sweet ass music with female vocals! It's so freaken awesome! Is there any chance you got more, or can direct me to some good stuff very very similar to that song??? I just love the gospel/celtic vocals, and it sounds so much like that.

    Thanks a bunch,
    T.

psychotron, I dont have nero. I use itunes mostly to burn my cd's. Is there another way I can go about making a tracked CD without having to use cool edit to break the tracks down and save them individually. That would be a pain and time consuming.

Not that I know of with iTunes, doesnt cool edit give you option to open the .cue sheet?

Bo- I mix whatever sounds good. I might make an effort to get back into the harder style like I once was.

Nope tried those methods! Cool edit is kinda hard for me to understand what i'm doing haha. Is there another burning prog I can get for free that does this, other than Nero?

    Here I forgot about this:

    Download this:
    www.tranceaddict.com/files/mp3dc201.exe

After all the setup stuff, open the .cue file.

Then goto File->Save Split and it should save it to the individiual tracks, I dont know if it sets the ID3 tags or not though.

Ok I figured out that program, thanks psycho, only prob is that when it split the tracks up, it didnt title them in the folder, for ex. Track 01, Track 02, which was weird because the program knew the names of the tracks? hmm ill figure it out i guess

Thanks psychotron - between your mixes and xtcradio.com, I have some great stuff to listen to. Good to know I'm not the only one who is running and lifting to some addicting sounds.
