Uk Drivers - Look At This (n Sign)

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you
having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly
    bill to use it.

The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the
BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for
    a delivery driver.

A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86
    in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody
will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you
have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit
you can expect a NIP with your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of
the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website

    http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/

Please pass this on to anyone who owns a car/motorcycle. It affects
    them.

that is fcking ridiculous, I signed it and forwarded it on to everyone on my contacts.

500,000 signatures has gotta make them sit up and notice tho hasn't it.

I can't see them bringing it in, it'd be political suicide...

most cars built after (cant remember the date, will look it up) have already been wired to take the device!!!

Cars dont have wiring to take it, just their onboard sensors are capable of relaying the correct information to the trackers ECU.

Cars running CANBUS are easily "hotwired" with a PDA and some knowhow, it works in reverse and any PDA or similar can read off all sesnors from the car.

in switzerland we pay roughly 25$ usd per year for our road tax sticker and thats it. i can understand a small amount per year, cause when you got a good 500,000 cars thats fast money raised for the roads, but damn double that per month is outrageous.
