OI Aussies.
I need to know where in brisbane are the better gyms ie..longer opening hours, best facilities and most important the fewer idiots running it the better.
Im coming over from NZ in 6-8 weeks and want to get straight into it. So if you guys can throw some names my way of good places that would be great.
Cheers.

Well the boss is in cannon hill so im getting a place around there, prob carina or neighboring suburbs.Im in 2 minds wheather i move towards the city or towards the beach? Where ever it is my place has to have a pool.
I found the physical address for Thors but they must be old school coz they dont have a website. Are there any 24/7 gyms there?

i dont think you will find 24/7 gyms in brisbane, maybe in the city, cannon hill / carina is a 20 minute bus ride from the city, bus comes every 15-30 mins, one of the best parts of town, south and east side of brisbane is the best, north side has alot of weird and different type of people not really level headed just strange and not happy, west is west nothing special there. but yeh the route from the city is southbank, wooloongabba, coorparoo, cannon hill, carindale.
anywhere along that line is close enough for that gym, they are a really good gym. older machines alot of older good lifters, dont think it really gets the anouying customers and familys alot of solid lifters and people just keepin fit. wouldnt go to any commercial gym in the city or carindale where its got all the members and most are useless. heres a tip dont go near the beach it sucks, carindale is about half way from the city to the beach i think. i wouldnt go further out of the city then carindale or it becomes shitty boring areas with not much to do. anywhere from carindale to closer is where you want to be.

primary age children, do you want private or public school? i know great public highschools and private. umm for children im not sure but ill ask friends, i ask because i think the primary schools are not that impressive. not sure which ones are good.
guess you watch NRL if your from NZ, support the broncos and warriors and you will love brisbane. the stadium is unreal. and you will be getting the state of origin if your into that. karmichael hunt one of best NZ players, great to catch a broncos game
oh and 5 minute from cannon hill is one of the biggest and best shopping ceneters in brisbane, carindale. so cannon hill is a great area. like 10km in car to the city. and less then 5 to the big shopping ceneter. i was at woolloongabba, which is like 2 km from city and like 13 from carindale and its the best side and part of brisbane.

Public or private im going to be making some good coin and since we are moving they should experience the best oz has to offer. Yeah i dont watch much of the league cause the warriors suck.I watch the semi and grand finals and state of origins though. Now if were talking rugby thats more my thing.
Every one that i know has nothing but good things to say about brissy and most havent come back.
