Ok update. Im studying with 3 chiks outside prior to class and Mr. Knowitall comes marching over.
Little does he know previously (like 5mins ago) one of the girls made a vague remark about him. I knew she was testing to see where we stand on our opinion on him, and I could sense her hatred so I came out with all this bullshit he's said in class since Ive met him.
So he comes over out of the blue and INSTANTLY starts saying "haha why are you guys studying? this class is a joke"
But this is what got to me.
Our teacher is AWESOME.
Has like a 4.9 out of 5 rating on ratemyprofessor.
The kid said (after only like 4 classes) he already went to the website and wrote how horrible of a teacher she is.
So i told him hes in the minority because she has one of the best rating on that site and is known in this University as one of th best teachers.
Hes like "well she knows i hate her, and she doesnt teach the right way"
before i could say a word, one of the girls i was talking to exploded on him.
I couldnt believe it.
Shes like "you know what? im trying to study and your distracting me!!! could you please leave!!!. (mean while its me with the 3 girls and him standing on the side trying to intrude which i suppose was his original intentions)
He says "wow someones in a bitchy mood today"
than after that all i hear is her screaming at him for like 2 mins forward, and since we're outside in the hall a crowd of people got silent and watched this kid get owned.
She fed him the biggest f**king piece of humble pie anyones ever been fed before. And shes smoking hot (well all 3 were actually) but thats besides the point. She asked me if I thought she was being a bitch and I was like "you were 100% on point, he was starving for a piece of humble pie and you just gave him the whole cake"
Meanwhile this kid *DOESNT even leave right.
He starts doing slow circles around our table walking with a cocky little strut and smiling. Im thinking this kid IS smart, and he IS social, but he IS *SCUM*. At one point before the arguement when the girl asked him if he thinks hes better than everyone else, he said "yeh actually i think i am"
I realized at that point he was a complete clown.
But that was the story today. He is in my lab, and my only problem now is I may kill the kid if I dont get switched out of the group so I have to work something out now with my professor.

If a person does not have good social skills I don't consider them smart. I always see people who aren't that smart but know how to talk to people become successful and smart people who don't know how to talk to any body become isolated failures.

I had to update this thread:
It would take me a good hour to explain what has happened and how ****n serendiptious this whole event has been (boggled my mind) but the story is long and my time is short.
I will basically say me and this kid are going out for beers this weekend and have almost become best friends. We talk everyday now outside of school. Theres A LOT to the aftermath, and the stories quite good.
But it was more or less a case of 2 people so similar misinterpreting EVERYTHING about each other. He may actually replace my current best friend now, what happened afterwords was CRAZY.
Maybe I'll write what happened tommorow because it was the LAST thing I expected to come out of this situation.. life is really weird sometimes. The kid is COOL AS SHIT though. and yeh I know your thinking wtf is bo's deal right now..

I'm not an idiot... i made good grades , got a scholarship...whole nine yards...
that sh*t doesn't mean anything. I can remember every movie i've ever watched. If i watch it twice i can quote...
we all have great memories, we just choose what interests us. No worries man...
and being smart and going to grad school doesn't mean he'll be more successful than you . People like donald trump are definately not that intelligent.

I wish I had a good memory. I feel like I can't remember shit, I have to read things several times to remember things. Memory tricks sometimes help when recalling facts. I often wonder if memory is a genetic thing, or like Anthony Roberts suggested, adaptive. Anyway, your story def has stolen my attention. My guess is you guys tagteamed the 3 hot chicks during a study session.

A few people felt that way about me during undergrad. I never took notes, never studied, and got very good grades. It may have been jealousy on their part, or maybe that they didn't realize that some people learn differently than others. I'm an auditory learner. Taking notes and reading doesn't do anything for me. All i need to do is show up to lecture.
There is a big drawback to that however. In classes with "bad professors", I wouldn't do well. My definition of a "bad professor" however would differ from yours. I would have difficulties with any professor that tests from the book rather than what they teach in lecture. To compensate, i'd have to spend a lot of time in office hours with these professors, and often times i wouldn't learn that i needed to do this until after the first exam.
However, this guy just sounds like a prick. Ability, no matter how great, doesn't give you the right to elevate oneself above others. It's much better to allow others to elevate you.
