OSCILLOCOCCINUM!! It's the best flu remedy I've ever used. I'm a big believer in holistic remedies, and although I haven't tried it myself, I heard that a shot of apple cider vinegar is great for the immune system. One of the things that I do to make sure I don't get sick is to take cold showers, it helps flush your blood and boost your immune system.

Vitamin C was never shown to help with a cold or to boost your immune system functions. It was all a false story made up by some guy in the 70s

Throw in a good workout plan too.
Don't overtrain though. I have gotten flu like symptoms in the past from overtraining. The nervous system crashes if its ****ed with too much.
Remember that the nervous system is what controls every muscle fiber in your body. When you train, the nervous system works a little more to repair muscles worked out and not normally used. Workout too much and the nervous system becomes overwhelmed with repairs so naturally the body reacts by feeling sick.

Smoking used to be something only women did. That's why a filter was put on the cigarette, because lipstick on a non filter cigarette became something you ate instead of smoked. Marlboro increased there sales by over 500% the year they introduced the world to the Marlboro Man, making it cool for men to smoke too.
think of y2k. Wasn't the world supposed to come to an end that year? Funny how it didn't but at the same time, Companies of all types cashed in on that scare yielding the highest profits ever, yet to be matched.
Back to vitamin C. I don't know if more vitamin c will ever help you, (like juice companies want you to believe) but I do know that vitamin c deficiency leads to scurvy or inadequate production of collagen, an extracellular substance that binds the cells of the teeth, bones, and capillaries. It’s essential for wound healing and burn recovery.
Sailors used to get scurvy all the time from having a fish diet only for too long while out to sea until in 1747 the Scottish naval surgeon James Lind treated scurvy-ridden sailors with lemons and oranges and obtained dramatic cures. In 1795 the British navy began to distribute regular rations of lime juice during long sea voyages (hence the name limeys for British sailors), a measure that was largely successful in preventing scurvy. It was probably the first disease to be definitely associated with a dietary deficiency..Last edited by Lavinco; 02-10-2007 at 10:48 PM.

Werking out at all while sick is not a good idea, your immune system is shutdown not only during the workout but also during the time your body is in fullforce to rebuild the tissue your just tore up.
