A mustang that has 400 HP, wich a stock svt cobra, has 390 ( at crank ) 335 RWHP, is only pulling 4.8 secs 0-60, where as my TA pulls a 4.3 with less power. End result, you may have more power, but Ill put it to the grownd.
my N/A 99 puts down over 315whp so 03/04's put down more than 335...plus everyone knows the 03/04 terminators were under rated HP wise most of them stock put down 380whp. but what the hell do i know right?

and lol i never knocked on vettesd i like vettes i think camaros, firebirds trans ams are just ugly as sin. and yes my 4.6 v8 beats 5.7litre 350's..

the fact that the 5.7 LS1 motors only put 310hp/340ft/lb of tq is pretty sad for have almost 100cubic inches more than a 32v 4.6 ford motor. putting down well mine put down 295whp without any mods. and the ws6 is only 325hp.

i can sit here an argue all day that they go back and forth with each other..but in the end cobras look better, and they are more comfortable.

Okay, well as a moderator at LS1tech I feel I can chime in here. The terminator cobras own stock LS1's and certainly LT1's. They are way too much car for them. I own 2 LT1's (97 30th, and 96 z-28) and both of them are extensively modded, and can rape cobras, stock this was a different story.

As far as LS1's 'only' putting out 310hp, thats dead on, at the rear wheels, which is close to 350 crank, that's sick for a 346 ci engine, bone stock. And, all Z28's, WS6, SS, T/A, and yes virgnia, firehawks have the same HP rating, just varied by tolerances and variables in the manufacturing process at GM. In fact, the highest dynoed stock LS1 was 345 rwhp, was a stock 02 z28 six speed.

AAadrenaline, your stang dynoed @ 295 rwhp? N/A and bone stock? Please send me a dyno chart so you can have the highest HP 4.6 stang registered. Routinely these cars don't break 240rwhp, and the highest dyno chart I've seen was 255ish rwhp out of a bullit, so if yours is 295, post the graph because that's unbelievable, no flame intended.

To the original poster, sweet ride man. Some well thought out mods will really bring that car to life, and it already looks great. Whats the mileage on her and year?

240rwhp? are you talking about stock GTs?

i have a 99 cobra i have a dyno showing 299whp 299wtq with just a catback on a mustang dyno(simulates real driving conditions) on a dynojet or similar i easiy put down 5% more that what i did on a mustang dyno which is 315whp in a perfect world.

    also i ran a 12.6 @109 with a 1.6 60ft and a 7.8 1/8 @ 95 with these supporting mods:
    -JLT CAI
    -O/R X
    -SLP cback
    -4.30's
    -Solid Axle swap
    -Drag Radials

and as for high N/A fords theres a guy on SVTPerformance whose putting down over 450whp N/A on a 01 cobra. running a 10.42 @ 137.66 with some spray.

also one of the most rwhp ive seen on a N/A cobra block with just bolt ons was 337whp

heres a link from corral its N/A 4V ford blocks its SAE HP/TQ and then listing mods.

I wasn't aware yours was a real cobra. That sounds about right then. I though you means your stock GT, I apologize. I am over at coral every now and again, had to get some tips for a 2V 4.6 cam swap. Numbers look pretty good for what you have. MY 97 30th anniversary vert just broke 10.90 @ 122 at the end of last season with a 150 shot, gm 847, ported heads, 3:73's/12bolt, all bolt ons and an art carr th200r tranny. She's my baby.

yeah i mean i like the engines chevy makes but i just dont like the style of the cars. i can see pased the ford chevy beef lol its just i think they are ugly(chevy). they both make nice engines..

but yeah my future is a big bore kit to go from 281ci to 304ci not stroked just overbored, with a procharger D1 or turbo not sure depends on the money situation. if i throw the D1 on ill keep it at like 650whp turbo i may go a little higher..but i want to keep it streetable.

next car is a c6 z06 though if i do well for myself i will own one..i went to the dealership its not happening this year or next but maybe the year after when i can afford a $1300 a month car payment before insurance..lmao

the C7 they are going to make is going to be rediculous i heard 700hp NA!?

My GT put down 280rwhp with exhaust, headers, intake, high flow cats, and k&N filter.
I'm about to give it an SCT Tune, gears, and UDP's. Shooting for 300rwhp N/A

by intake do you mean CAI? or new intake manifold?

im sending my intake manifold out to get cut and ported along with my heads to get a full port and valve job with comp stage 3 blower cams. with the H/C/I setup i should be hovering around 375WHP this isnt me putting what their max hp increase is its by going by what other guys have done with the same setup all hover around 360-385whp with just ported c heads, ported intake, cam. and of course supporting mods: exhaust, cai..

then next winter hopefully big bore kit and then look our 400 NA mark!!!

SO a full exhaust and cold air kit gave you 20-30 rwhp. That's decent. My 96 Z, with long tubes, true duals, cold air, and a tune made 330rwhp...hehe, love the extra cubes, hate the opti-shit....can't wait for my delteq to come in.

I do like the stangs as well, I just aint been beat by a stock one yet. Only ones close are the cobras, and I just keep ahead of them all the way down the track. My roomate owns a 460 hp 92 stand, and I am not much slower than him. Hes in the low 11s, and Im in the mid 12s with my 91 GTA. unless I use spray.

hehe, my friend owns a 92 gta with a Gen VI BB chevy in it. The thing is sick, but even though it is gutted, still way too heavy to be competitive in the outlaw classes. That why I love fox body stangs. Light and cheap. Any plans to mod your new toy?

oh hell yeah!!! I plan on putting a centrifucal supercharger from PROCHARGER on it when I can afford it. plus bore in .30 or .60 I havent decided yet. and of course aluminum heads too. All the goodies on it when I can come up with the money.

I would recommend a 0.20 overbore if you are gonna overbore it when you put in the new slugs for the procharger, that leaves you two more overbores :-). Also if you are interested in head/cam setups Lloyd Elliot stuff is the best for the money. LE1/2/and 3 setups are gnarly and super affordable. Also, you already have aluminum heads just fyi. AND, steer clear:

actually its quite the oppisite. Things are way cheaper in the U.S. its our dollar value that makes it that way. In the states I see 94-98 camaro z28s for under 8 grand all the time, you cant find one here for less than 10-12. My dad owns a 1967 #s matching camaro 427 SS. Ill send a pic of it in a min, and he buys all his parts from the U.S. because its too over priced here.

Yeah, if I had 100grand, Id own one too! But then Id need an extra 10 grand cause Id want one faster than my dads, I dont like to lose! lol. I have raced him before, it wasnt even worth trying, It was like putting a z06 vette up against a 1965 beetle. it was embarrasing actually, because he messed up off the line and smoked his tires for over 60 feet, and I hooked perfectly, and he wasted my ass. lol

there is 143 thousand kilomiters. so around 75 k miles or so, I paid 13500 for this one. Id stay away from the 93 it was the test mule for that style, go for a 94, same price, less problematic.

Yes, but 13500 here is like 10000 there, and I paid for the fact that it has a new crate motor with less than 2k on it and has warrenty, name one 96 that has warrenty on the engine. and a vette is to expensive for me for insurance, I have 11 speeding tickets for 2006, if I get any more this year, my liscence is gone. So they jacked my policy WAY up this time.

You got a pretty decent deal carguyz28. Especially in canada, they are way more expensive up there. Shoot I only paid 6500 for my 96 z28 with 55k on it, black on black, leather, 6spd etc etc. My 30th anniversary vert was 14K with 20K miles on it. Also, to the guy who wanted a 93, stay away from that year. Best year in my opinion is 95. Single cat, obd-1, and the vented opti-spark, best of everything. :-)

Also, to the guy who wanted a 93, stay away from that year. Best year in my opinion is 95. Single cat, obd-1, and the vented opti-spark, best of everything. :-)
Like I said, stay away from the 93! glad to have someone agree.
