There sure was. I will never forget that last run of his that was called back in the Orange Bowl. I really don't understand how he became washed up and only played for a little bit in the CFL. Next year, keep an eye on Darren McFadden, #5 of the Arkansas Razorbacks as he is the closest thing college football has to the Rocket at this point.

Maybe. Its not like you can go wrong with either one though. Bush definately has better moves and field vision. But as far as raw speed goes, Ismail was the man.........

The CFL offered him a lot of money, so he went to play in Canada. He had a few good seasons, but nothing great. Played for a few different NFL teams but never had much success.......

Reggie Bush is very similar to Sanders...if you go to youtube and type in Barry Sanders one person actually made a highlight reel of Sanders and Bush together...they run somewhat alike...

Ginn is not even that fast. Comparatively anyway. Ginn ran a 10.5 100m. Bush ran around a 10.45 or so. I cant find any of Roket's times, but I do know that he beat Jon Drummond and James Jett. If you dont know who they are, they were world class sprinters who ran with the same track club as Maurice Greene. Rocket ran around a 4.2 so I have been told. Bush ran a 4.33
Ginn did not run his yet, but his college coaches have claimed some pretty outrageous numbers. We will find out soon enough I guess.

Well if they are as similar as you say, then I would not say Barry Sanders is better at all. That would mean Reggie Bush is just a new version of Barry, but a whole lot faster.

Well look at the other factors...look at Bush's team...and look at Barry's team....enough said....If Sanders had HALF the line Emmett smith even had, then Barry would have never been caught. I say screw the Lions and Ford for "making" him retire early.....

I saw on there that he ran a 4.11. BULLSHIT. They say the fastest 40 ever run was Ben Johnson's in the olympic final in 88. Translates into about a 4.1 or so. Look at all the numbers that these guys put up in college, then look at what they do in the combine. Their coaches are liars.

Besides, if you have the explosion to run a sub 4.3, then you are gonna be faster than 10.5 in the 100. Not a sure thing, but it would seem likely......

I was at the Rosebowl doing security on the field for USC Texas in 06 It was awsome, Walked with lienart and bush out to there suburbans, they didn't even ride the bus with the other players. Bush is insane good, but sanders if he had half the teams bush had in college or pro's he would have be unstoppable.

Bush was amazing in college and he followed that up with a great first year, he is the closest thing to Barry Sanders we've seen.

i'm certainly impressed with bush so far but i've been watching football for more than 20 years and growing up in oklahoma and watching alot of him at osu and then with detroit he is without question the best "scat back" of all time and reggie has a long way to go to be considered the second coming of sanders. bush does remind me alot of barry.

LT is pretty awsome, kinda shitty for me since Im a chiefs fan and I like LJ, but thats a tough division!!! CHARGERS, CHIEFS, BRONCOS, Unfortunately the chiefs are usually the best team not to make the play offs every year

They are a different type of player, you cant compare them. LT is a pure RB, and hes the best in the game. But they also give him the ball like half the time. Reggie is a scat back/all purpose offensive weapon. He can play WR as well as RB. Plus he was a rookie, so like I said, time will tell. He is a better player than Rocket for sure, but that guy had insane speed. I loved watching that guy when I was little.

OJ Simpson is one of the fastest players ever pound for pound. He was a pretty big guy and he ran the 100 in the mid 9's I think. He was on the 4x100 team at USC that held the world record for some time........
