Question Graphics Card question...running 2 at the same time..

I spent $80 bucks the other month on an ATI Radeon 9250.. cause i need a graphics card with 1.0 pixellation.

now i bought another game at it requires 2.0 pixallation WTF!! and the card i just bought dont go that.

So.. I'm going to buy another Graphics card. Like a Radeon 9600 or something.. $130... anyways...
Now does that render my first graphics card completely useless?
OR Can i Run it like in DUEL MODE>. where they help each other out?
and how do u do that..
I'm guessing i'm going to plug my monitor into the nicer card..
The other card, won't have anything plugged into it.. does that make it useless?
do i need some sort of Monitor cable that has 2 ends on it or something?
    or special software

You would have to join the two cards for them to work together. Google SLI video cards. If you purchased cards under 200.00 i doubt very much they are SLI cap. check the box.

In this case, yes. All its going to do is that up system resources so just unplug it.

radeon 9600. is pretty old mate.. i wouldnt really upgrade pc to it... i would save cash and buy a new pc when you can. most new games coming out are going to barely handle on a 9600.

    yah tnx guys,,,

I ended up putting a sick system together at zipzoomfly.com

Nvidia motherboard, sweet ass graphics card Nvidia too, that SLI technology.
    Duo 2 Chip etc..
it was like $900.. but had $70 in mail in rebates..

still would had saved like $200-300 doing it that way than buying a wack ass dell..

    I submitted the order..
    than i cancelled it HAHA
I'll wait like 6 months to a year..
Aite so my current PC got dissed by a game.. its ok yah know.. lol
I think I'll wait for the QUAD Chip to get cheaper.

Honestly the SLI really isn't even worth it from reports i have read. Just pick up a single high-end card and you should be fine unless you overclock or are HEAVY into gaming. I got a Ati Radeon X1900 for about $500 when it first came out but i think you can get them now for like $300 and under. The card kicks ass but is not the best for overclocking.

Anyway, read up on the SLI before you buy it.
