    Math Help people

I need a few problems done, I dont remember how to do this, it is so old. The steps how to do them would be great. Thanks it looks so easy.

    1. A line has the equation y=5x-2, which of the following points is on this line?

    2. Solve the equation 6x-3y = 12 for y:

    3. If 5(x-3)+6 = 7x+9 then x=

    4.If 3x-2 = -7x+8 then x=

    5. 4AB^3C

    Let A=2, B=-1, C=-3

    6. (3A-2B)(4BC)
    Let A=2, B-1, C=-3

    7. (3z^4)^3 (-2z^2)=

    8. Find the value of the expression

    -2w^2 + 12w if w=-2 and x=4
    -----
    3x

The 12w and 3x is a fraction or divided by you know, the dash is between 12w and 3x.

    1, a point would be x=1 and y = 3,
    2 y = 2x - 4
    3 x = -10
    4 x=1
    5 = -8^9

    7. (3^3 z^12) (-2z^2)

    (9z^12) (-2z^2)=-18z^14

    8. -2(-2)^2 +12(-2)
    _______
    3(4)

    ....

    8+(-24)
    ____
    12

    8 + (-2)=6

Its been awhile...but I think I got it. N ya...it is basic algebra...what class is this?

^^^^^ It wont show the proper part of the problem as being divided...but you get the idea...

y=mx+B b=y intercept (where the line crosses on y axis) therefore, when its -2, one point will be (0,-2) M=slope rise/run

#1, just pick a point for X and then plug it in and solve for Y
#2 push everything to one side to have Y by itself
#3 first distribute the 5 for the ( ) then solve for X
    #4 solve for X
    #5 simple plug and chug
#6 plug and chug the first ( ) and second ( ) then once that is done, multiple both ( ) ( ) together

    Like this
6x-3y = 12 this is your given formula
    Step one:Isolate your Y,
    -3y=-6x+12
Step two: We want y not 3y, hence divide everything by 3 to get rid of the 3.
    -y=-2x+4
Step 2: Having -y is not the standard so, switch signs on everythig.
    y=2x-4

    Voila you answer
