Yeah, uh...you got it.....I'm going to discontinue this conversation because if I continue to try and argue with your incredible grasp of the workings of the international oil markets and pricing I'm going to end up banned.

    1. trucking companies make huge cash for one reason they charge you 100 dollars to haul something, but they have thousands of things that they are hauling so they make good money in each trip, way more than gas costs...we have things freighted daily and i get the bills and i know a few drivers that do very very well..
    2. gas prices are going to keep going up for a while so dont expect the war to cause them to drop anytime soon... Canada is the 4th largest producer of oil and gas but we asell it to the states and buy it back that is why it is cheaper in the US than anywhere else, cause they control the market...the reason it is cheaper in the middle east is cause you dont need thre refining process like we do over here...

As a driver no but as an owner operator you can make great money, especially in the construction industry. There are so many ways to make money in trucking if you know what you're doing.

Trucking companies that are very large are extremely profitable. Owner operators, at least until they get their truck/trucks paid 4, on the average dont make squat. 90% of the owner operators make barely above 35,000

I don't know 2 much about hauling freight and those types of trucking companies but I do know about trucking companies regarding construction material like dirt, sand, stone and debris from demolition. Dump trailers for hire bring in $900.00 a day for hire plus tolls, if you get paid by the load and bang out 4 or 5 loads a day you can bring in about $1200.00 to $1500.00 a day. If you hustle and know people who can use clean fill you can charge people to take away clean fill from excavation jobs and bring it to the people that need it and dump it for free.
