    hey kratos, i need a lil reassurance: my mom scolded me when i said i'm gonna stop taking strattera after my last final next week, she says its not a good idea to do that w/o supervision of my psychiatrist, but i can't set up appt with him 'til like march

    i'm still gonna go off tho, idk why its so unsafe, its just strattera, not an anti dep or anything with serious withdrawl symptoms...

    well, I was taking 80mg a day and I stopped cold turkey and had no withdrawl symptoms or anything. There's nothing anywhere I've seen on Strattera withdrawal, neither on the FDA or CDER sites, nor on Eli Lilly's site. He could taper you off, but it really isn't needed. I would just quit.

    less than two weeks to go!

    I wanna ask doc for a short acting methylphenidate for on the spot, but would he prescribe this? Or must i set up an appt with psychiatrist (that would take too long)

    if you're on 80 a day it should be a divided dose aka 2 x 40mg a day
    so you could taper yourself off too. But strattera withdrawl isn't a real problem.


    Yeah, methylphenidate should be easy to ask for. You've got ADD so I don't doubt he'd give it to you.

    I think strattera is a garbage drug...I do much better on stims.
